A Delightful Candy Land Party

We are positively giddy when we receive an over the top, super creative party for a little one’s first birthday. Oh, if I had a girl first I’d had been in big trouble. We received a magical Candy Land inspired first birthday party from Grace Budhram, owner of Moments by Grace Events and her partner, Natasha Maraj. This incredible fantasy-like party was for Grace’s sweet daughter Maya. The ladies re-created the whismy touches from the popular game with Anders Ruff printables and lots of pink and purple for princess Maya.

Setting the tone for your Candy Land party is easy with our printable invitation (and add your own lolli for even more sweetness!)

Some of the details as told by Grace…the party was held on a beautiful Saturday in July. First, the setting was their home right in their backyard a tent was put up and decorated in Bright Pink and Purple cloth draped all along the ceiling with Chinese Silk lanterns to capture a land full of color.

Each table had a lollipop topiary with 2 round balls filled with dum dum lollipops and a stick wrapped in purple cloth to hold the large balls and positioned in a vase wrapped in purple cloth as well. These large centerpieces were accompanied by two small square vases filled with more dum dum lollipops.

As the children arrived, each child picked out his or her tutu or super cape in their favorite color. Then, the fun began with different stations of activities. We had sand art, face painting, candy jewelry and canvas creation stations. The kids even got to groove out with a Zumba instructor leading them on the dance floor.

After working up a sweat to the Zumba music, guests treated themselves to the tempting candy bar.

As if the candy bar wasn’t enough, guests were treated to a dessert station to end the fabulous party. We had a cake, cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, chocolate dipped Oreos and more! The kids were thrilled and got to take home their goodies in case their tummies were too full.

All of the guests had so many goodies to take home that each one left with a personalized canvas bag to carry their treats in!  Of course they were embellished with printables from our Candy Land Collection!

Although the birthday princess was small, she enjoyed watching everyone having fun. She also had a blast riding around in her custom made wagon with her name and age for everyone to see!

The party continued in the evening with a night of food, sweets, music and drinks. Guests stayed til 2 am celebrating Maya’s special milestone birthday.

Wonderful job, Grace! Thank you for sharing your daughter’s magical party with us.
