A Mermaid Birthday Party Fit For A Princess

I am always amazed at what kind of parties party planners do for their own children.  Kristin of The Little Style File recently planned a Mermaid party for her daughter and it turned out amazing!  She used our mermaid invitation as inspiration for the gorgeous color setting of aqua and pink. Kristin also incorporated a little of the princess motif with custom made crowns for each of the “mermaid princesses.”

Madeline’s birthday table looks amazing with the aqua and pink details! Who doesn’t love ruffles?

Details as told by Kristin: My mom (Nonna), a retired art teacher, painted the sandwich board sign to match the invitation.  It greeted guests and welcomed them to the backyard for the under water party!

Banners were everywhere!  This “Happy Birthday” banner is part of the Anders Ruff printable party kit.

Glass milk bottles wrapped with ribbon and party circles with fun paper straws made every drink a little more fun…

Don’t drink the pool water!  These water bottle labels tied the theme through all of the beverages.

CUPCAKES!  Anders Ruff cupcake toppers were perfectly coordinated with the rest of the party papers.

As for the decor fish dangled from inside the white tent that also had blue tulle hanging over the blue picnic table to create the under the sea feel for the kids.

Under water accessories were everywhere!  Shells, mermaid paintings and even Madeline’s name had fish scales!

What’s a party without a Pinata?  This cutie came from Party City with stick and blindfold to match.

Photo Booths are fun for every party!  It’s a great way to ensure a pic of all of the guests at the party and are fun to add into thank you notes!

Every mermaid deserves a crown!  These hand painted (by Nonna!) and jeweled crowns for the girls also worked well for the photo booth.  Girls also received a long strand of pearls to take home while the boys donned pirate hats with treasure and temporary tattoos.  Madeline wanted something to “pass out when my friends leave” so a vintage pink lunch box filled with lollipops worked well for our little mermaid to pass out when guests were heading home.

Madeline’s birthday sign coordinates perfectly with the pink lunch box!

What a gorgeous and happy birthday girl!

Thank you Kristin for sharing this precious birthday party with us!
