We recently received a colorful, modern Robot party from mom and photographer Anne Lavigne for her precious one year old Tyler. She used our modern Robot invitation to set the tone for the party by repeating the same colors of grey, blue and orange throughout the decor.
My favorite part? The smile on Tyler’s face. He obviously had so much fun and Anne did a great job with all of the party details. Enjoy!
Below are the party details as told by Anne:
The invitations & designs were from Anders Ruff. I bought a “Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto” t-shirt for Tyler from Cafe Press, and a robot shirt for myself from Etsy seller Rainbow Swirlz. The orange utensil pails were from Target. Tablecloths from Oriental Trading. Picture frames were 99 cents each from IKEA; I put a monthly photo of Tyler on one side and a photo of a famous robot on the other side (i.e. R2D2, Rosy from the Jetsons, Plex from Yo Gabba Gabba, Transformer, etc.).

Not many. All of the kids at the party were under 4, so I didn’t do too much with activities. I purchased ceramic banks in the shape of robots from Oriental Trading. They are made to be painted, but the kids at the party were younger so I bought Crayola markers instead of paint. I think the adults had more fun with this than the kids though!
The robot cake was made by our friends Mat & Sharon based on a design found online at http://ciaoannie.com/2011/06/robot-cake/. We also had Crumbs mini cupcakes (www.crumbs.com) which were a huge hit. That was the one thing we didn’t have any leftovers from. The orange & yellow cupcakes were just from BJs. The main dish was a 6ft. Tastee Sub. This deli had it’s 15 minutes of fame when president Obama ate there during his visit to NJ. In addition, we had home made appetizers.
The “Robot Fuel” was small bottles of Gatorade in the party colors, orange & blue.
Looks like everyone had a blast! Thanks Anne!
