We are THRILLED for our friend, Kara Allen, of Kara’s Party Ideas who recently announced her 1st book titled Kara’s Party Ideas. The book is available for pre-order on Amazon already!
We were excited to get an inside look at the book and I am thrilled to share with you our feedback on her book.
We all know that Kara’s blog is lovely and wonderful, so we could only imagine that her book would be even more spectacular. Every party that I see styled by Kara is gorgeous and unique. The book is filled with fresh and fun ideas and crafts, recipes and is a fabulous guide for any party lover.
This full-color guide features 13 unique parties outlined from start to finish, including stunning pictures, tutorials, party printables, and more! Kara also shares vendor lists so that you can recreate a party of your own! (We are thrilled that Anders Ruff is one of the vendors in the book!)
Kara’s website also hosts her new shop (She has been a BUSY lady!) which is full of fabulous party items, decorations and sweets! From paper bags and bottles, to straws and balloons, candy and more – you are sure to find what you need there. Kara’s book makes it easy because you can find the items she uses in the parties on her site!
So…You may be wondering why we are sharing this on Ruff Draft Wednesday? To give you a peek at the types of crafts you’ll find in Kara’s book, she is here to share a tutorial on an easy and adorable packaging idea.
So, who loves the fun patterned favor bags you see all over the place? We have used them several times and always wanted to show off the contents of the bags… so Kara has a great idea for doing that!
These adorable Window Favor Bags are so easy to make and have endless party possibilities! Here are the simple instructions:
Items you will need:
Paper favor bags
Clear Cello Bags
Craft Paper Punch
Ribbon or Twine (all of these materials are in Kara’s Party Ideas Shop!)

STEP 2: Fill the clear cello bag with treats or favors of your choice. So many possibilities and ideas here!
STEP 3: Put your clear cello bag inside the paper bag.
STEP 4: Fold down the top of the paper bag and punch out two small holes with the regular hole punch.
