Sweet Tweet Birdie Party

We love getting party submissions!  Today we are featuring a sweet tweet birdie party that is so bright and cheery.

Holly of Paisley Petal Events sent us these photos and writeup and we are excited to share!  It has been awhile since we shared a bird themed party.  Holly used our printable “sweet tweet birdie” printable package….

All of the details are below the fun photos…

In Holly’s words…”

When deciding what sort of theme my client wanted, she didn’t have anything specific in mind, so after looking around her house I spotted some cute turquoise birds in her kitchen and mentioned birds.  She immediately liked the idea because her little girl, Jane LOVES birds.  So a little birdie party it was!

While searching Etsy for the printables, I found the Sweet Tweet Birdie party collection from Anders Ruff.  The colors of bright blue, bright pink and lime green were perfect for our vision.  I used the Happy Birthday banner from the collection, along with some tissue paper poms and hanging letters JANE as the backdrop for the dessert table.  We collected various birds from around our houses to add just some fun little touches to the dessert table.

My client specifically asked for the word JANE to be hanging somewhere for the party.  I figured wood would be too heavy and cardstock wasn’t heavy enough, so I decided to make them from paper mache letters I bought at Hobby Lobby, wrapped them in coordinating yarn colors and white pom pom yarn to match the party printables.  I think they turned out perfect!  I also made the high chair banner using scrapbook paper from the Sweet Tweet Birdie collection, so the birthday girl had a special place to sit and eat her adorable birthday cake.

The DARLING smash cake that Jill from Sprinklebelle Cakes made was the perfect centerpiece for the dessert table.  It was placed on a white cake plate and some green paper suitcases to give it some height.  Jill also made the cute birdie fondant cupcake toppers to go with the rest of the party decor.  Candy was placed in apothecary jars dressed up with matching ribbon.  Guests filled their favor boxes with candy to take home with them.  Jen at All Things Exquisite made the most ADORABLE birdie cookies for guests to eat or take home as favors.  They were placed in cardboard suitcases for display and matched the theme perfectly!

Some additional cupcakes with toppers were placed on a matching tray in the middle of the table.  Since they were right in front, they were very tempting for little hands to grab. 😉  Drinks in coordinating colors were also available, dressed up with “bird bath” drink wrappers from the printable collection.  The cute gable boxes were tied with a customized Thank You tag and guests filled them with candy from the dessert table.

Other party decorations included matching polka dot balloons and tissue poms hung over the food area and in other places around the party.  The guests were served lunch which included croissant sandwiches, chicken nuggets for the kids, fruit skewers, cheese & crackers and various chips and dips.”

Thank you for sharing your sweet tweet birdie party, Holly!

  1. It’s amazing how such a beautiful and colorful party can come from the inspiration of turquoise birds. It shows that inspiration really is everywhere, we just have to pay attention to it. I love how you did the paper mâché letters. The pom poms made a fun addition. Thanks for sharing your styling ideas!
