Back to School Teacher Gifts and Gift Tags – Cheers!

first day of school teacher gift

first day of school gift

I’m so excited to share this post and almost forgot about it! With all of the hustle and bustle of school starting, I hope this post helps!

So, it is that time of year again (as Adria reminded us with the adorable new Building Brick personalized school supply label post yesterday) My boys are BOTH in school this year (1st and 3rd grade)! They are both quite the talkers, so in order to “butter up” the teachers, we always send them off to school the first day with a little something special for their teacher.  Just a little something extra to make the teacher feel special and fingers crossed that one of these years my boys will be a teacher’s pet!? (Who said teacher’s can’t have pets?)

I keep seeing these adorable plastic mason jar drinking cups, tumblers (how darn cute is this tumbler?!), cute travel mugs  Last year I was trying to think of what to bring the teachers and then Adria’s daughter gave me an idea.  From what I hear, the trend is that lots of teachers bring these clear insulated beverage cups to school. Start your teacher’s school year out right with a new insulated cup to use in the classroom (when they get thirsty from teaching our kids all day long!)…  But, it can’t come empty or tag-less, so…..

We designed this “Cheers to the best school year ever” gift tag (comes in both Pink and Aqua versions in the shop for only $5.50!) that is perfect to attach to insulated cups, or if you even want to just send a mug, that woudl be adorable too!

Now, to figure out what to fill it with!  We decided to fill it with school supplies such as patterned pencils, pencil top erasers, Sharpies, scissors, adorable individual kleenex packages, and colored or patterned cute packing tape (I have this set am going to break it up for one each).

We also added some treats like mini Hershey bars, tic tacs and some cough drops! Quite the mix of fun little treasures for the teacher to keep handy.

We used cotton baker’s twine to tie on the printable teacher gift tag and signed the kiddies names, and we were done! The teachers LOVED it!
