The end of the school year is almost here, and summer is fast approaching!\u00a0 I always try to do something special for my kids on the last day of school.\u00a0 They absolutely love ice cream and love sundae bars, so I thought it would be fun to create an Ice Cream Kit that they could use at home.<\/p>\n

Everyone needs end of the school-year and summer-time gifts, so why not share some {Free Printables} to use for summer celebrations!!! (Download at the bottom of this post.)<\/p>\n

I found an ice cream kit on the Tip Junkie<\/a>, and knew right away, I wanted to create something similar for my girls!<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Supplies needed:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Free Summer Fun Printables by Anders Ruff<\/a><\/p>\n

basket to hold treats<\/p>\n

shred\/ribbon (if you want)<\/p>\n

clear cellophane bags<\/p>\n

twine<\/p>\n

tape\/scissors<\/p>\n

ice cream cones<\/p>\n

toppings (I used: mini-gummy bears, nuts, sprinkles, mini- marshmallows, mini-oreo cookies, nonpereils)<\/p>\n

Instructions:<\/p>\n

Fill basket with shred.<\/p>\n

Place cones in clear bags and tie with twine along with printed & cut party logo.<\/p>\n

Fill clear bags with toppings:<\/p>\n

I used smaller bags for sprinkles and nuts, and taped on a party logo<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

I used medium clear bags for larger toppings – see below for bag topper how to:<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Print the patterned paper.<\/p>\n

Trim along edges.<\/p>\n

Fill bag with treats.<\/p>\n

Fold bag close and tape shut.<\/p>\n

Fold the patterned bag topper in half and cover bag top of clear bag.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Tape underneath the pattern paper to clear bag in the middle.<\/p>\n

Tape ends of pattern paper shut.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

You can fill these bags with whatever goodies you like!<\/p>\n

Place all items in your basket (note: we found our basket at the dollar store… you can dress up inexpensive baskets with a little ribbon and party logo!)<\/p>\n

Final touch – add ribbon and party logo around basket<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

This basket is the perfect gift as we welcome summer<\/em> for: kids, teachers, neighbors, birthday party favors and more!<\/p>\n
