Our friends at Kiss Me Kate <\/a>continue to deliver beautiful and unique party themes.\u00a0 Kate and Yolanda recently styled a “Cute as a Button” themed birthday party for a client of theirs in Australia.\u00a0 We loved designing the printable invitation<\/a> and printable decor for this theme because it is so soft, sweet and versatile!\u00a0 It would be a great theme for a baby shower, too!<\/p>\n

Kate creates the most beautiful desserts while Yolanda is the master of styling.\u00a0 I love how Yolanda added button embellishments to our printable folding party labels.<\/a><\/p>\n

Chocolate bars wrapped in our printable chocolate bar wrapper are a must for Kiss Me Kate parties…. So sweet and an adorable take home favor.<\/p>\n

Here are all of the party details (told by Kate and Yolanda)…..<\/p>\n

We were approached by our client to style a dessert table in\u00a0celebration of her daughter\u2019s first birthday. We were so excited when\u00a0we were told that the theme for the party would be \u2018As cute as a\u00a0button\u2019. This is such a gorgeous theme to style and the possibilities\u00a0endless.<\/p>\n

Our client requested a colour palette of soft pastels and wanted the\u00a0desserts to be themed with buttons. We embellished almost every\u00a0dessert with pastel buttons and styled the table with vintage sewing\u00a0accessories. Some of the props included a child\u2019s sewing machine,\u00a0vintage sewing basket and a designers body form draped with a\u00a0measuring tape.<\/p>\n

The two tiered ombre birthday cake was decorated with an assortment of\u00a0pastel buttons and personalised with the child\u2019s name. The cake pops,\u00a0wafer sticks and cupcakes were also adorned with pretty pastel\u00a0buttons. The backdrop featured a banner of hoops embellished with \u2026\u00a0you guessed it, more buttons and it read \u201cSew Cute\u201d All the guests\u00a0were given a take home favor bag containing a \u201cCute as a button\u201d photo\u00a0frame.<\/p>\n

We sourced most of our props from fabulous second hand Op shops we\u00a0have here in Melbourne and found all the beautiful vintage props\u00a0including the adorable 1950\u2032s KAY-EE doll\u2019s sewing machine, still in\u00a0perfect working order and old wooden sewing spools.<\/p>\n
