We are making diy bubble wands today to go along with our latest Birthday Girl Doll Collection<\/a> inspired by the ever so popular American Girl Dolls.<\/p>\n

If you missed our American Girl Doll inspired styled photoshoot, click here <\/a>to see the full party details! \u00a0We created this party for our sweet client Yolanda, from Kiss Me Kate while she and her family were visiting us from Australia.<\/p>\n

In keeping with the American Girl theme, we wanted to show you a great way to create this American classic, \u00a0Bubbles with a DIY Bubble Wand. \u00a0This bubble wand is simple to make and economical as well. \u00a0It is the perfect party favor or even just a fun kid’s craft.<\/p>\n

Supplies needed:
\nWire (we used a coat hanger, because we love to recycle – but any floral wire will work as well)
\nBeads
\nNeedle Nose Pliers
\nSpray Paint (if you want an extra pop of color)<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Directions:<\/p>\n

1. Untwist coat hanger and create star shape (starting at halfway point of wire)
\n2. Bend wire every inch to create 5 points
\n3. Twist at bottom of star to connect wires (cut off one of the wires to shorten twist)
\n4. Spray paint wire (both sides)<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

5. Pick various beads and add to desired length (I made this wand about 8″ long)
\n6. Once beads are in place, bend wire up to create a loop at the end of the wand. \u00a0(Metal hangers are difficult to bend but are sturdy…. If you want a child to do this by themself, I would use a thinner wire).<\/p>\n

7. Use our drink wrap from our Birthday Girl Doll Collection,<\/a> to wrap around an inexpensive bottle of bubbles! \u00a0You can even use a party logo to tie onto the wand for a cute added detail! \u00a0Make sure you pick beads with holes that are big enough for the wire!<\/p>\n

Don’t forget to make a miniture one for your dolls!<\/p>\n
