It’s Halloween week, and to celebrate we thought it would be fun to show off the latest gold trend, doing it up –\u00a0pumpkin style<\/em>! \u00a0We have been loving GOLD this year, especially incorporating it with classic holidays! \u00a0And let me tell you…. gold spray paint + pumpkins of any kind = Gold Pumpkins Galore! \u00a0You can paint real pumpkins, styrofoam or even plastic pumpkins and they all turn out GOLDILICIOUS!!!<\/p>\n

Directions:
\n1. Lay pumpkins of choice on painting drop cloth (real, styrofoam or plastic)
\n2. Spray first coat of paint
\n3. Allow dry time (according to can)
\n4. Flip over and paint second coat of paint, covering any missed parts
\n5. Allow dry time (according to can)
\n6. Repeat steps until pumpkins are completely covered. \u00a0*Note: I did 2 coats per pumpkin and did it in the sun… the sun speeds up dry time<\/p>\n

\nReal Pumpkins<\/strong>
\nFor these real<\/em> pumpkins {shown above}, I painted gourd size ones you can get at grocery stores and mixed them with orange faux pumpkins for inside home decor. I set them in rustic containers and on vintage scales.<\/p>\n

Styrofoam Pumpkins<\/strong>
\nFor a cute table centerpiece, I bought styrofoam pumpkins from the dollar store and painted them. \u00a0Then I glued two painted pumpkins together for height. \u00a0I added printable toppers from our Classic Halloween Collection<\/a> for the final touch to wooden skewers along with a real skeleton key.<\/p>\n

Plastic Pumpkins<\/strong>
\nI painted plastic pumpkins that you go trick-or-treating with, removed the handles and lined my front steps with them. \u00a0They are inexpensive, and make a big impact (plus they won’t rot). \u00a0They are just so fun for outside decor… but you could use them inside as well. \u00a0Stack a few to create various heights and put on either side of a mantle.<\/p>\n

No matter what you decide to do with these gold pumpkins, they will be a fresh twist for this fall season. \u00a0Use them through Thanksgiving… your guests will be so impressed by these glamorous displays.<\/p>\n
