Mandie here to share my Cruffle Pop (Cake Pop) Microphone Recipe!<\/p>\n

SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS NEEDED:<\/strong><\/em>
\n– Left over chocolate cake
\n– Black candy melts
\n– White candy melts
\n– Standard ice cream cones
\n– Mini ice cream cones
\n– Silver sugar sprinkles
\n– Baking pan
\n– Parchment paper
\n– A tall cup
\n– a shallow bowl
\n– 2 Ziploc bags<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

STEP 1:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
\nMake the cruffle pops<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 I don\u2019t make mine like a cake pop, where you would take the leftover cake and mix it with buttercream or liquid, and then freeze it.\u00a0 Instead, mine are more like donut holes\u2026I refer to them as twice-baked cake and call them cruffle pops.\u00a0 Because they\u2019re the shape of a truffle, but made of cake!\u00a0 I take leftover cake and squeeze it and squish it, and keep doing that until the cake has no crumble left to it.\u00a0 At this point, roll the cake into a large ball.\u00a0 Test it to see if it\u2019s the right size in the regular-sized ice cream cone.\u00a0 Make as many of these as need be!\u00a0 Bake them at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes (or until they are firm to the touch, and slightly browned on the bottom).<\/p>\n

*If you love the texture and taste of cake pops, by all means make them instead\u2026follow the directions the same way from here!<\/p>\n

STEP 2:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Take some of your melted chocolate and put it in a Ziploc bag.\u00a0 Snip the tip, and pipe a rim of chocolate on the inside of it.\u00a0 Take your mini cone and drop it inside of your regular cone.\u00a0 This way the cruffle pop doesn\u2019t sink into your cone too far\u2026most of it will stay above the rim! Let the chocolate harden before the next step.<\/p>\n

STEP 3:<\/strong><\/span>
\nPipe a rim of the melted chocolate around the top of the cones, and put the flat side of the pop into the melted chocolate.\u00a0 Let it harden.<\/p>\n

They\u2019ll look like this…<\/p>\n

STEP 4:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Take some of the black chocolate melts and some of the white chocolate melts to create a grey color of melted chocolate.\u00a0 You\u2019ll need a lot of this, so use a whole bag of white, and a little bit of the black will go a long way to create the grey color.\u00a0 I like to put the melted chocolate in a tall container, so that when I dip, they don\u2019t hit the bottom.<\/p>\n

STEP 5:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Put the silver\/grey, sugar sprinkles into a wide, shallow dish of some sort.\u00a0 If you can\u2019t find them in your store, you can take clear, sugar sprinkles, and add a tiny bit of black food coloring gel to them and mix with your fingers, and voila!\u00a0 You\u2019ll have grey sprinkles!<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll have to work fast here, which is why I don\u2019t have a picture of this part of the process. But you\u2019re going to take the ice cream cone, turn it upside down, so that the pop is facing downwards, and dip it into the grey chocolate.\u00a0 Put it all the way in until the chocolate almost touches the rim of the cone.\u00a0 Then lift it out, and while rotating the cone, shake off the excess back into the chocolate.\u00a0 It\u2019s very important that you shake off all of the excess chocolate, so take your time here.\u00a0 When you invert the pop back upright, gravity will do its job and the grey chocolate will move down and cover any part of the pop that didn\u2019t get dipped.<\/p>\n

While the chocolate is still \u201cwet,\u201d put it into the sprinkles, rotating all the way around until it\u2019s completely covered.\u00a0 Use your fingers if you need to push some of the sprinkles down to meet the cone.<\/p>\n

Put the cone upright onto the baking sheet and let it totally harden.<\/p>\n

\nSTEP 6:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Add the printable wraps to complete the microphone look!<\/p>\n

Voila!<\/p>\n
