When Lydia of The Party Wagon reached out to me to design a Printable Invitation and set of design accessories for her daughter’s Rainbow Loom Valentine’s Day party, I jumped on board! I absolutely LOVE creative and crafty themed parties, and Rainbow Looms are all the rage these days!\u00a0 My boys actually got one for a gift recently and love making the little bracelets. I think its a fabulous way to incorporate some fine motor skills and creativity without a digital toy involved! (I try to keep my kids away from the ipad as much as possible!)<\/p>\n

The BEST part about Lydia’s party is that her daughter and friends made rainbow loom bracelets for children at a local hospital for Valentine’s Day.<\/p>\n

\n“With Rainbow Loom jewelry being all the rage in my daughter’s age-group, I thought it would be fun to share some easy Valentine’s Day and birthday party ideas with you using rainbows, friends, and a little service-project! We decided to spread the love this Valentine’s Day and make Rainbow Loom jewelry for children in our area that may not have access to these wildly popular looms. \u00a0We invited some friends over, made jewelry, and enjoyed Valentine treats. \u00a0Valentine’s Day is a perfect time to spread a little love- but actually this idea can be used any time of the year!<\/p>\n

Anders Ruff designed the adorable rainbow party printables<\/a> that I used on the dessert table and for the favor tags. I love the combination of the Rainbow and the hearts. \u00a0This collection is perfect for Valentine’s Day and also full of inspiration for birthday party ideas!<\/p>\n

The girls worked on making bracelets, rings, and necklaces when they first arrived. \u00a0When it was time for a break, they were excited to try the FUN-DIP CUPCAKES that I made for them using a recipe from Smart School House<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The FUN-DIP Cupcakes were a BIG, BIG hit! \u00a0They loved finding the FUN DIP inside of the cupcake!<\/p>\n

I also made melted chocolate pretzel hearts- these have become a family favorite! \u00a0I found the candy eyes and mouths at Target and used heart-shaped sprinkles to add a rainbow of color for the noses!<\/p>\n

The guests were welcome to take home a cupcake in their little favor boxes or bags. \u00a0I made some cupcakes without FUN DIP and used white icing and conversation hearts to dress them up! They were easy to make and made the perfect little take-home gift~<\/p>\n

YOU’RE A RAINBOW OF FUN! THE PERFECT WAY TO CONVEY YOUR THANKS!<\/p>\n

The best part and the main purpose of the get together was to make and share Rainbow Loom jewelry with others! \u00a0We chose to share the love through a program at our church that feeds underprivileged families and homeless- there are 30-40 children that come each week. Other ideas would be hospitals, doctors’ offices, and maybe even nursing homes. \u00a0I think it is important for kids to be a part of helping and spreading love and this party was truly a RAINBOW OF FUN!”<\/p>\n
