Ingredients:<\/div>\nThis makes quite a lot of jello, so keep that in mind!<\/div>\n
6 flavors Jello, 6 oz size\u00a0(I used Strawberry, Orange, Lemon, Lime, Berry Blue, Grape)<\/div>\n
5 – 1\/4oz envelopes Knox Gelatine (Comes in boxes of 4, so two boxes)<\/div>\n
2 cans sweetened condensed milk<\/div>\n
$\"Creating$ <\/a><\/p>\n
Directions:<\/p>\n
1. Make one batch of white gelatin for the white layers. (I made two separate batches, one at the beginning and one half way through).
\na. \u00a0Bring 1 3\/4 cups water to a boil over the stove or microwave. In a microwave safe bowl, add\u00a0water and one can of sweetened condensed milk. Set aside.
\nb. \u00a0Bring 1 1\/4 cups water to a boil. Remove from heat. Slowly stir in 2 1\/2 packets of Knox Gelatin.
\nc. \u00a0Combine the milk mixture and the gelatin mixture. \u00a0Let cool.<\/p>\n
$\"Making$ <\/a><\/p>\n
2. Make first colored layer (working backwards, so start with grape)
\na. \u00a0In a large bowl, add 2 cups boiling water to Jell-o.
\nb. \u00a0In a separate bowl, combine 1 1\/2 cups cold water with 1\/2 cup ice.
\nc. \u00a0Add icy water to Jell-o.
\nd. \u00a0Let cool to room temperature, by placing in the refrigerator. \u00a0As one color would be cooling in the fridge, I would prep the next color (I always had two colors in the fridge at a time)<\/p>\n
3. \u00a0Begin your layers.
\na. \u00a0Pour some Jell-o into a measuring cup that has a pouring spout.
\nb. \u00a0Pour Jell-o layer into glass to desired height. Try to reduce bubbles by pouring slowly and wipe away any drips on edge of glass.
\n<\/span>c. \u00a0Place glasses in the refrigerator or freezer until the layer is set. \u00a0(I like to use the freezer to expedite the process… if it gets icy, it won’t hurt it).
\nd. \u00a0After the layer is set, pour\u00a0a thin layer of the cooled milk\/gelatin. Try to eyeball how thick you will need each color plus each white layer so it reaches perfectly to the top. \u00a0 I kept my white layers about 1\/4″ for this glass style. \u00a0Place in the refrigerator or freezer until the white layer is set.<\/p>\n
4. \u00a0Repeat layers until you reach the top (*disclaimer… I may have used photoshop to make my layers look more smooth.. hahaha. \u00a0I am not the Jell-o wizard like Maureen is!)
\na. \u00a0When you run out of white gelatin, make your second batch to continue layers)<\/div>\n
***Note: \u00a0if the white gelatin solidifies, you can microwave it for 10 seconds at a time to liquefy it. \u00a0Make sure you let it cool before pouring it though, or color will bleed.
