I cannot believe I am writing this blog post today… another school year is almost over. \u00a0Sniff… sniff… I seriously feel like I was just showing you guys how to kick off the school year with a new school year Teacher Gift<\/a>. \u00a0Well, as you know we love our teachers so we are sharing with you the perfect end of the year teacher gift to show your appreciation and let them know how much they have helped your child GROW<\/em>. \u00a0We are giving you \u00a0FREE PRINTABLE THANK YOU TAGS<\/a>\u00a0to add to a potted plant of your choice (we used popular and easy to care for succulents). \u00a0We will also show you a quick way to dress up inexpensive terra cotta pots so your gorgeous plant has an equally adorable pot.<\/p>\n

Supplies Needed:<\/strong>
\nFREE PRINTABLE THANK YOU TAGS<\/a>\u00a0(printed on paper of your choice)
\nTerra Cotta Pots
\nSucculent plants (or plants of your choice)
\nSpray Paint
\nBurlap
\nTwine
\nScissors\/tape\/hole punch
\nHot Glue
\nNeedle & Thread<\/p>\n

\nDirections\u00a0For Painted Pot with Burlap Flower and Twine:<\/strong>
\n1. Print and cut out your “Thank you for helping me Grow” printable tags
\n2. Tape to sticks (wooden skewers) or punch a hole and string twine through it to hang from pots
\n3. Spray paint your terra cotta pots
\n4. In the meantime, cut four \u00a03″ squares out of burlap
\n5. Fold each one in half and trim out flower petals (they don’t have to be perfect)
\n6. Rotate four of them and stack together.
\n7. Sew them in place
\n8. Using hot glue, put dabs in between layers and pinch the layers up. \u00a0I put dabs of glue in all kinds of places to pinch the flower into the shape I liked. \u00a0(you basically are molding it with glue until you get the shape you want).
\n9. Once pots are dry, transplant succulents (I used rocks along with soil).
\n10. Hot glue twine along rim of pots and then glue on burlap flower.
\n11. Add Thank You tag on a wooden stick and place in pot for final touch.<\/p>\n

If you want a less elaborate pot (or run out of time) you can always just tie the hang tag along the side of the pot. \u00a0You can also use bigger pots and plants – If you have a bigger container, you can print the design on full sheet label paper to create a sticker and adhere to the front of your pot. \u00a0Any way you do it, your teacher will know how much they are loved.<\/p>\n
