We are excited to show you a fun summer kid craft – Painted Washer Jewelry. \u00a0My kids have been begging me to do a craft with them all summer, and I finally broke down and pulled out my paint, paint brushes and my favorite TWINE from The Twinery<\/a>. \u00a0I researched online, looking to see what we could create, and after seeing cute painted washer jewelry I knew this would be the perfect craft for my girls! \u00a0I found washers & beads laying around my house (ok, in the garage for the washers) and grabbed a little glitter tape as well. \u00a0I wanted to give this adorable craft more bling (glitter tape has been my “go to” lately). \u00a0Then I lined my table with craft paper, so we could paint and glitter away all day!<\/p>\n

Supplies Needed:<\/strong><\/span>
\nAcrylic paint<\/a>
\nPaint brushes (We like a variety set like this<\/a>)
\nPainting trays
\nBaker’s Twine<\/a>
\nWashers – various sizes
\nGlitter Tape (We love this brand here<\/a> and here<\/a>)
\nScissors
\nBeads
\nHole Punch<\/a>
\nNeedle\/thread<\/p>\n

Directions:<\/strong>
\n1. First we started by painting the washers in various colors. \u00a0We painted both sides (with appropriate drying time), and did a few coats of paint as well.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

2. While the paint was drying, we covered some other washers in glitter tape<\/a>. \u00a0We trimmed the edges and used a hole punch to cut out the centers.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>3. Once the washers were complete, we stacked them together and added various colors of twine. \u00a0Then we added beads <\/a>for the final touches.
\n4. We tied knots at the end of each piece of twine to keep ends from raveling.<\/p>\n

For the above bracelet – I sewed on seed beads and made a really long bracelet strap so it could wrap around your wrist.<\/p>\n
