<\/a>Hi Anders Ruff readers!\u00a0 I’m excited to share with you a gorgeous celebration held in honor of Krista O’Byrne of Hoopla Events<\/strong><\/a>!\u00a0 If you are planning a glam 40th birthday party, you won’t want to miss the beautiful details!<\/p>\n

<\/a>Turning 40 definitely calls for an extra special celebration! Thanks to the help of some great friends and fellow Hoopla gals Heather & Jen, Krista’s 40th birthday<\/strong> soiree was full of glitz and glam plus fabulously festive details in some of\u00a0her favorite colors\u2014pink & gold! Lauren Oliver Photography<\/strong><\/a> captured the magical night spent with some of the most important people in\u00a0Krista’s life.<\/p>\n

<\/a> <\/a> <\/a>Forty is a milestone birthday, and Krista certainly didn\u2019t want the day to come and go without some pomp and circumstance. Originally,\u00a0she hoped\u00a0she and her\u00a0family might be able to sneak away for some Arizona sun and some quality family time. With crazy work schedules making it difficult to get away,\u00a0she abandoned that option in favor of celebrating closer to home. Some sweet friends convinced\u00a0her that a party was in order. Being a party stylist by profession, how could\u00a0she let them down?<\/p>\n

<\/a>Once the planning began and she\u00a0had settled on pairing pink and gold with some dazzling glitter accents, Krista contacted one of the creative talents behind Anders Ruff<\/strong><\/a>, and Maureen began the designs for a gorgeous save the date card, invitation, rsvp card and coordinating d\u00e9cor set. (coming to their shop<\/a> soon!)<\/p>\n

<\/a>The celebration was perfect. From a limo ride with close friends, to drinks on the beach with girlfriends to a cocktail party and dancing with more friends and family, Krista truly couldn\u2019t have asked for a more perfect night. Mingling with family and friends\u00a0she adores was the best way to turn 40!<\/p>\n

<\/a>The celebration space was perfect! A little glitz, a little glamour paired with some of\u00a0Krista’s favorite things made party magic. Beautiful tables were set with lovely peony filled centerpieces from Stems Floral Design<\/strong><\/a>. In\u00a0her world, turning 40 definitely calls for a little confetti. How fun is the tabletop confetti from Tutus & Bowties<\/strong><\/a>? Notice the coordinating confetti garland and flowers on the fireplace mantle. Stunning! Sparkling glitter votive candles from Always The Occasion<\/strong><\/a> added to the celebratory atmosphere, both on the mantle and the tables.<\/p>\n

Guests dined on a lovely assortment of appetizers and finger foods. From meatballs with brandy and roasted shallots to seasonal fresh fruit & veggie trays to crab stuffed mushrooms and an imported cheese platter, there was plenty to munch on throughout the night. Folded food tent cards from Anders Ruff’s<\/strong><\/a> collection helped guests to easily identify all of the food choices.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/a> <\/a> <\/a> <\/a> <\/a>As a party stylist, one of the things Krista loves designing most is a beautiful dessert table. This was definitely more easily accomplished by some wonderful companies who created absolutely gorgeous d\u00e9cor & edible masterpieces. White tablecloths<\/a> provided a simple canvas upon which a glamorous gold sequined table runner<\/a> rested & beautiful tassel garlands from Pom Joy FUN<\/a> were strung. Color coordinating jumbo balloons with matching balloon tassels (Pom Joy Fun) provided a festive & glamorous backdrop. More lovely fresh floral arrangements from Stems Floral Design<\/a> added charm and elegance.\u00a0Don’t you just love\u00a0the touch of glam with the gold rhinestone wrapped vases?<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/p>\n

The gold glittered framed (Stems) dessert bar menu alerted guests to the delicious sweet treat options. It\u2019s hard to pick a favorite. There were scrumptious cake bites and cake pops from 4 Kids Cakes<\/a>, made even more impressive with gold shimmer sticks from Painting Paris Pink<\/a>. Delicate macarons (also by 4 Kids Cakes), in party colors, looked lovely on a ruffled stand. White chocolate covered Oreos with a beautiful chevron design were masterfully prepared by Sweets & Treats Design Studio<\/a>. And don\u2019t forget the custom sugar cookies by The Sugar Canvas Boutique Bakery<\/a>. How does one choose amongst so many beautiful creations?<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>A cocktail party wouldn\u2019t be a cocktail party without some drinks! An impressive bar area was established and made festive with a sparkly gold \u201ccheers\u201d banner by Four 13 Designs<\/a>.\u00a0Krista and crew\u00a0created a signature cocktail for the evening\u2014Sparkletini Pink Lemon Drop. It was fun serving up\u00a0their custom creation on a beautiful serving tray from Cupcake with Character<\/a>. Each drink was embellished with a custom gold dot straw (The Sunshine Villager<\/a>) with a custom party flag from Anders Ruff\u2019s<\/a> collection. Cheers!<\/p>\n

<\/a> <\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Because\u00a0her party was planned to carry on well into the night,\u00a0they also planned for a fun \u201clate night menu\u201d. Don\u2019t you just love the custom menu by Anders Ruff<\/strong><\/a>? Celebrating works up an appetite and\u00a0Krista wanted guests to be able to nibble all night long.\u00a0She served up: burger sliders, coconut prawns with plum sauce, chicken wings, beer brat bites and golden French fries in cute chevron cups from\u00a0her shop!<\/p>\n

<\/a> <\/a>Besides eating, chatting and mingling,\u00a0guests danced the night away to both songs from the 80s and the latest hits! The DJ had to laugh as he played \u201cLet it Go\u201d from Frozen and the dance floor was packed with all the ladies. Having all heard this song so many times from\u00a0their children,\u00a0everyone could recite it. So many precious memories were made that night! It felt wonderful for Krista to be surrounded by so many dear friends and family members.<\/p>\n

<\/a> <\/a> <\/a> <\/a> <\/a> <\/a>Fellow women can appreciate just how important girlfriends are!\u00a0Krista wanted the special women in\u00a0her life to know how much\u00a0she cherishes\u00a0their friendship and how much they each mean to her. As a parting gift, each was given a \u201cFriends Make Life Sparkle\u201d sign by SG Sign Co.<\/a> to remind them of their enriching influence in\u00a0Krista’s life. Each was beautifully wrapped in a gold bow and “thank you” hang tag from Anders Ruff<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
