Last week I announced that I am partnering up with Friskies<\/strong><\/a> & Petsmart<\/strong><\/a> this month and hosting a fabulous Grumpy Cat<\/strong> Pumpkin Carving Party<\/strong> for Halloween.\u00a0 Each week I’m sharing a fun idea for the big party.\u00a0 Last week I showed my fun painted version of a Grumpy Cat Pumpkin<\/strong><\/a> (using this FREE downloadable pumpkin carving stencil<\/strong><\/a>).\u00a0 I can’t wait for my boys and their buddies to come and carve their own Grumpy Cat Pumpkins!<\/p>\n

After you carve your pumpkin, upload and share your Grumpkin Pumpkin using hashtags #Grumpkin and #AndersRuff<\/strong> (Oh and make sure your post is set to public so that Friskies and PetSmart can see it)!\u00a0 Friskies is going to donate $500 to PetSmart Charities on behalf of the blogger<\/strong> whose audience uploads the most carved pumpkins! I know that my little guests will work up an appetite for Halloween Treats so I’ve been brainstorming good dessert ideas for the Pumpkin Carving Party.<\/p>\n

So, back to my tutorial for this week!\u00a0 This week I am SO excited to share this super easy and fun Chocolate Pumpkin Marshmallow Pop Recipe<\/strong>.\u00a0 The best thing about it is that there are no ovens needed, no baking, no measuring and the kids can even help!\u00a0 You can make them either just regular ole’ Pumpkins or Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin pops.\u00a0 I am going to serve both options at our Halloween Pumpkin Carving Party!<\/p>\n

INGREDIENTS & MATERIALS NEEDED:<\/strong>
\n\u2013 Orange Chocolate Candy Melts (these <\/a><\/strong>work great or these<\/strong><\/a>)
\n\u2013 Regular Marshmallows
\n\u2013 Chow Mein Noodles (or you could use pretzel sticks)
\n\u2013 Mini M&Ms<\/strong><\/a>
\n\u2013 Black Food Marker with Edible Ink<\/strong> <\/a>(optional)
\n\u2013 Lollipop Sticks<\/strong><\/a> (We used the 6 inch variety<\/strong><\/a>)
\n\u2013 Printable Halloween Party Flags<\/strong><\/a> (optional for additional decoration)
\n\u2013 Toothpicks<\/p>\n

\nDIRECTIONS:<\/strong>
\n\u2013 Melt the orange candy chocolate melts in a microwave.\u00a0 We heat it at 30 second increments, stirring in between until smooth.
\n\u2013 Stick a lollipop stick into one marshmallow and dip into the melted orange chocolate, twisting until coated.
\n\u2013 Lightly tap the stick on the side of the glass container to knock off excess chocolate and make the chocolate appear smooth.
\n\u2013 While the chocolate is still wet, insert a chow mein noodle in the top (for the stem) and a mini m&m for the leaf
\n\u2013 Take a toothpick and lightly drag from top to bottom, creating the creases in the pumpkin.
\n\u2013 Stick the lollipop stick into floral foam<\/strong><\/a> or styrofoam bricks to dry upright.<\/p>\n

To Display these little pumpkins, we displayed ours in the drawer of our dessert table by putting floral foam into the drawer and sticking the lollipop stick into the foam.\u00a0 We covered it with white paper shred<\/strong><\/a>. So cute!\u00a0 Don’t you love how real they look from dragging the toothpick on the wet chocolate? The little creases are so fun! Also, the different shaped chow mein noodles really look like stems from a pumpkin.<\/p>\n

The optional part of the tutorial is to draw little faces on the pumpkins using the food writer<\/strong> <\/a>(that is edible ink! So cool!)<\/p>\n

How cute are our new Modern Halloween Printable Party Flags<\/strong><\/a>?\u00a0 They just add a fun touch to the pumpkins and make them more festive.<\/p>\n
