A yearly family baking party<\/strong> is yet another heartfelt and super fun tradition that Brenda, owner of GreatStitch<\/strong><\/a>, has with her family each year.  Remember two years ago she shared her  movie night on Christmas Eve<\/a><\/strong> tradition with us?  This year they decided to make their baking party a Patisserie Noel theme and had us create some soft pastel printables to go along with GreatStitch’s adorable pajamas.  Not up on your French?  I wasn’t either so I had to look up this fancy “Patisserie<\/em>” word.  A Pattiserie is a French bakery that specializes in pastries and sweets, but in order to be called that it has to employ a licensed ma\u00eetre p\u00e2tissier<\/i> (master pastry chef) employed.  By the look of the sweets from this party and the French flair in the decor I think Patisserie Noel describes it to a “T!”<\/p>\n

Brenda tells us how the the tradition of a baking party began for her family! “From the very beginning of our life together, my husband and I have always made goodie bags or treat boxes for our friends and family. We start our Christmas Traditions right after Thanksgiving by making sugar cookies. Then everyone picks their favorite treat. We love pralines, gingerbread cookies dipped in white chocolate, chocolate covered oreos and much much more! With all this yummy stuff around we have to give some of it away! My parents actually started that tradition in our family way back in the 70’s. I love baking and so it was great fun to pick that tradition up in our own lives. My kids always loved it too. There is something about baking that makes everyone feel loved!”<\/p>\n

“So, this year for our Christmas baking party we wanted to include our very special baker friend from All Things Cake<\/a>. She has the most adorable kids and they are so sweet too…precious kiddos to work with! Janette has done some really lovely things in our parties this year and we could not be happier to feature her again in this Patisserie Noel where we had her make some of her best goodies. The best thing??  Her MASTERPIECE! A cake pop tree! I have not seen one of these before and I thought it was SO clever! I loved the take off and she said it took a LOT of cake pops! I about dropped over when I saw it. I thought it was so very beautiful! Hope you do too! She can make one for you too if you ask her nice!!”<\/p>\n

Two years ago I loved Brenda’s Christmas Eve movie night tradition and I am just as smitten with this one too.  Such a great way to bring everyone together and to get in on the holiday yumminess that happens in the kitchen.  Sometimes more hens in the kitchen is a good thing!<\/p>\n
