Yesterday’s (Part ONE<\/a>) Dessert Table and Candy Bar were fun to share and now I’m excited to share some more eye candy, decor and DIY ideas….<\/p>\n

We are thrilled to share\u00a0Part TWO<\/strong> of Jeffrey’s Modern Lego Inspired Birthday Party –\u00a0The Favors and Decor!<\/strong><\/p>\n

You saw the Dessert table (above) and Lego Candy Bar yesterday… I just couldn’t fit all the details in one post, so here are the details from the 3rd main table – the favor table<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Hanging Decor <\/em><\/strong>– I hung fabulous paper plate polyhedrons (remember, we made these for the first time in our “I Heart Valentine’s Day” photoshoot<\/a>?) in red, blue and yellow to add a pop of color to the area. \u00a0My dining room walls are red, so it was a pretty BRIGHT area, but perfect for “Lego”. \u00a0We will do a “Ruff Draft” (DIY tutorial) on how to make the paper plate polyhedrons later this month.<\/p>\n

Background<\/em><\/strong> – My printer messed up the scale of my printable coloring wall poster<\/a>, so he gave me the “mess up” and I decided to just use part of it as a backdrop for the favor table. \u00a0My bright red walls needed a break from the color \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Oreo “Lego” Truffle Pops<\/em><\/strong> – I made <\/em>Oreo Truffles in the shape of square Legos. (These were so easy and fun to make!) and embellished the stick with a printable party flag from our collection<\/a>. I stuck them into a 3D giant lego that I made with the capri sun box and styro discs. (As seen on the dessert table backdrop)<\/p>\n

Lego Inspired Coloring Book and Crayons<\/strong><\/em> – My kids love to color, so I decided to design a printable Lego Inspired coloring book (in the shop<\/a>!) to give as part of the favors at the party. I made the Lego minifigure crayons<\/a> as well. (Super easy! See how to make them here<\/a> using these molds<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Popcorn Favors<\/em><\/strong> – We filled cute clear plastic containers (From Nashville Wraps) with colored popcorn (from Sugar Bunch Creations<\/a>) and sealed the container shut with strips of our printable patterned papers<\/em> (included in the printable collection) that we printed on glossy label paper from Onlinelabels.com.<\/a><\/p>\n

Notice the Lego set favors? \u00a0Notice the logo? \u00a0I used our printable name tags and put the “Jeffrey” logo on all of the Lego sets for the kids. \u00a0Just a little touch that many may not have noticed right away until they looked closer. I like to leave a last touch like that \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Cookies <\/em><\/strong>– Allyson Jane Designer Desserts<\/a> made these FABULOUS cookies – I love the modern look!<\/p>\n

A better look at the fabulous popcorn favors and the printable coloring book.<\/a> \u00a0The coloring book has several pages inside where the kiddies can color their own “Lego style man” as well as pages of the patterned blocks to color in their own design.<\/p>\n

We made Lego Minifigure Crayons<\/a> to go with the favor. Find the tutorial on how to make mini figure crayons.<\/a><\/p>\n

Table Decor <\/em><\/strong>– My tables NEEDED some centerpiece love, so I decided to continue the use of the stacked giant 3D wrapped blocks as centerpieces<\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0(Capri sun box + wrapping paper = easy) \u00a0Instead of the Styrofoam discs for the “pegs”, I added an edible element! \u00a0The pegs are actually JELLO in glass candle holders<\/em><\/strong> that I found at Ikea. Fabulous, right?<\/p>\n

Place Setting<\/strong><\/em> – Each of the children had modern plastic totes at their place setting. \u00a0I added a printable luggage tag with each child’s name (available here<\/a>). \u00a0The children would carry these totes around with them at the party to all of the activity stations.<\/p>\n

Chairs<\/strong><\/em> – I made slip covers for my folding chairs so that they looked like the modern Lego inspired look from our printable collection. \u00a0Super easy! Basically, it is like a pillowcase with one opening and I ironed on white circle fabric with the iron-on adhesive.<\/p>\n

Place Settings (Cont.) <\/strong><\/em>– The personalized totes held their utensils that were embellished with Legos (hot glue, thank you!) as well as their “Build a Magnet” kit, some treats (embellished with printables<\/a> of course), and their straw with the printable party flag.<\/p>\n

The boys had the traditional “Lego Logo” style name tag. \u00a0The girls had a pink and yellow version.<\/p>\n

Name Tag<\/strong><\/em> – We also had printed nametags (on sticker paper from onlinelabels<\/a>) in front of their place settings so that they could put their name on the backs of their shirts. \u00a0(Just a fun touch)<\/p>\n

Place Setting, Continued….<\/strong><\/em> – The kids had water bottles with our fun printable drink wrap embellishment and also a fun bright colored drink bottle for them to take home. \u00a0(Couldn’t pass those up at Michaels for $1)<\/p>\n

You can also see above the centerpiece on one of the other tables.. stacked legos with the jello pegs!<\/p>\n

Jeffrey’s buddy, Max (above), was sporting his cool Lego inspired t shirt and nametag on the back….<\/p>\n

Fashion <\/strong><\/em>– My boys (and I!) were lucky enough to wear super fashionable Lego bracelets <\/strong>from Reware Style<\/a>. \u00a0These bracelets are SO well made and my boys loved them!<\/p>\n

Fashion (cont.)<\/strong><\/em> – The cool silhouette t-shirts<\/strong>\u00a0were a hit. \u00a0All of the children received these adorable shirts and wore them at the party. \u00a0They looked so cute and coordinated really well with the decor (which I loved, of course! haha!) \u00a0I still hear stories about how they LOVE these shirts and they are super soft!\u00a0 You can iron on this printable design<\/strong><\/a> onto white T-Shirts<\/strong><\/a> using Iron on Transfer Paper<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Thanks to Adria (left) for her help the week of the party. \u00a0I had a TON of decor to setup and she was fun (as always) to work late nights with.<\/p>\n

PS. Adria – Thanks for bringing dirty martinis for my dad to chill him out during the setup! (Grandpa needed it haha!)<\/p>\n
