There is something extra special about being the first to do something. New owner, Miriam Sellers knows the feeling as she brought the first AR Workshop<\/strong><\/a> to Alabama. She was thrilled to have friends and family join her in celebrating the grand opening of her new DIY home d\u00e9cor workshop. Guests got to see beautiful examples of the many projects they can learn to make at a workshop–canvas wall hangings, pillows and totes, plus a variety of wood signs, centerpieces, picture frames, lazy susans, front porch signs, and more! After seeing the photos, you will probably have the itch to come hone your DIY skills at a class of your own!<\/p>\n

Did you know AR Workshop Dothan’s<\/a><\/strong>new owner is a fourth-generation local business owner? It’s true, Miriam was born in Eufaula, Alabama and returned to her Alabama roots in 2015. Her ties to the local business community stretch back generations. She will be following in the footsteps of her uncles, grandfather, and great-grandfather who all owned hardware stores in southeast Alabama. As a woman bringing a woman-owned franchise business to the Dothan community, Miriam is putting her own engaging and crafty spin on the family hardware trade. Her enthusiasm is contagious as is her love of family, friends and her community.<\/p>\n
