Today we are sharing with you how to make chocolate skeleton keys for Halloween.<\/div>\n

We have had several questions about this, and since we provided a key template in the Haunted Halloween<\/a> collection, we thought this would be a great tutorial.<\/div>\n

Supplies needed:<\/div>\n

1. melting chocolates<\/div>\n

2. wax\/parchment paper<\/div>\n

3. piping containers (we love these by Kuhn Rikon<\/a>)<\/div>\n

4. bowl for melting chocolates<\/div>\n

5. key template from the Haunted Halloween<\/a> Collection<\/div>\n

\"Supplies\" — Supplies<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
1. First, pour your\u00a0chocolates into a microwave bowl.<\/p>\n
2. Melt chocolate in microwave (per instructions on packages)\u00a0– do not overcook<\/p>\n

3. Once chocolate is melted, fill piping container<\/a><\/p>\n
4. Line your parchment or wax paper on top of printed key template<\/p>\n

5. Start at top of key, and slowly trace template.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

6. You may want to go back in and refill the shape to ensure thickness in chocolate piping. (if chocolate piping is too thin, they will crack and break)<\/p>\n

7. Let chocolate harden<\/p>\n
8. Peel off of wax paper, parchment sheet<\/p>\n
(try not to handle too much…. chocolate melts easily)<\/p>\n
Use these chocolate keys for cupcake toppers,\u00a0displaying on books, hang with twine… packaged treats….<\/p>\n
