Today’s Ruff Draft is a behind the scenes of the 2011 TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP OPERATION SHOWER<\/a><\/strong> that we helped with last week in Atlanta.<\/p>\n

We designed the invitation and party decor, (which was inspired from\u00a0this year’s 4th of July Pinwheel Collection<\/a>)\u00a0\u00a0and went down to help style the event with the lovely LeAnn Morrissey<\/a>, and Amy Belle Isle<\/a>… and met up with sponsors, Layla Grayce<\/a>, Carousel Designs<\/a> to name a few.<\/p>\n

Another sponsor, Radio Flyer donated wagons for part of the table\u00a0centerpieces (and gave a large scale wagon to every mom-to-be).\u00a0 We wanted to show you how we made the gift packaging center pieces incorporated in the Radio Flyer wagons.\u00a0 We know that you are all going to start decorating for the holidays, and what a fun way to show off your gift packaging for accents at your holiday parties…. baby showers…. birthday parties…. etc!<\/p>\n

Supplies needed:<\/p>\n

1. Various sized boxes\u00a0 (can be found at the container store or other discount stores)<\/p>\n

2. Your coordinating wrapping paper<\/p>\n

3. Various ribbons<\/p>\n

4. Double-sided tape, and regular tape\/scissors<\/p>\n

5. Gift tags or Party Logos (we will be coming out with some fun holiday tags in our Christmas Collection soon!)<\/p>\n

6. Gift shred<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To get started….<\/p>\n

First select the various boxes you will use for the centerpiece.<\/p>\n

Start wrapping!\u00a0 Use several wrapping paper choices…. and then tape on ribbons.\u00a0 We use grosgrain\u00a0– different sizes\/patterns, and some satin ribbons too.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

You can even double-layer your ribbons (we just wrap around the boxes, and tape together underneath the box, so the ribbons are flat).<\/p>\n

Next you will want to stack, tape together, and angle into your centerpiece (wagon, wooden box, sleigh…whatever you are using to hold them)<\/p>\n

We taped each box together – small on top of large, turned them on angles and taped them\u00a0inside the wagon to keep in place<\/p>\n

To finish off the centerpiece, we put in a pinwheel made out of our patterned paper (these pinwheels were created by Cross Roads Cottage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

You can stick any sort of embellishment from the gifts to give that extra detail.\u00a0 We also hung party logos (or gift tags) from some of the presents and on the backsides of the pinwheels.<\/p>\n

We used twine to wrap around some of the stacks as well.<\/p>\n

Last, we used shred to fill in the rest of the empty space in the centerpiece.<\/p>\n

These were just too cute and too easy to make – they were perfect for this AMAZING baby shower!<\/p>\n

\u00a0Our dear friend, Mandie (from Got What it Cakes<\/a>, and her sweet mom) came down to donate\u00a0their time by helping us during\u00a0prep time (we had 80 place-settings to do….) and also Mandie donated one of her out-of-this-world cakes.<\/p>\n

The finished table!!!\u00a0 Look at Mandie’s, Got What it Cakes<\/a>, gorgeous cake – sooo fabulous!!!<\/p>\n

(We stacked gifts in the larger wagon as well, next to her cake)<\/p>\n

Sandy from Firefly Confections<\/a> sent in the most red\/white\/blue onesie cookies for the table mixed in with some other great treats.<\/p>\n

We were honored and absolutely loved being a part of Operation Shower<\/a>, Red White & Coo!<\/p>\n

The moms were just so appreciative and so deserving of such a wonderful event.<\/p>\n
