<\/em>A big thanks to Anders Ruff for customizing the cute ‘Blessing Mix’ bag toppers and poem to coordinate with their Happy Gobble Day printable package<\/a>, (still available in their Etsy shop for only $12)\u00a0\u00a0and another huge thank you to my friend Vivian Kerr who shared the idea and directions for making them!<\/p>\n

Here’s what you’ll need:<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

• {FREE} \u00a0Anders Ruff “Blessing Mix” printables that you can DOWNLOAD HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n
• Medium sized. cellophane bag (ours measured\u00a0approx.\u00a03.5″\u00a0 x 6.5″\u00a0 )<\/li>\n
• 1 pkg. of Bugles snacks<\/li>\n
• 1 pkg. of pretzels (not rods or sticks)<\/li>\n
• 1 pkg. of candy corn<\/li>\n
• 1 pkg. of orange candy slices (approx. $1 in candy aisle at Walmart)<\/li>\n
• peanuts (or substitute nuts of choice)<\/li>\n
• paper trimmer or scissors<\/li>\n
• hole punch<\/li>\n
• eyelets\/grommets (optional)<\/li>\n
• twine, ribbon or raffia for embellishing<\/li>\n
• adhesive or glue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Project Steps:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  1.\u00a0 Print the FREE Blessing Mix printables by {downloading them here<\/a>}.<\/strong><\/p>\n

  <\/a><\/p>\n

  2.\u00a0 Trim the printable\u00a0bag topper and poem to fit the size of the cellophane bag you are using.\u00a0 Note:\u00a0 We trimmed our Blessing Mix poem down to about 3 \u00a03\/8 ” x 4\u00a0 3\/8″ to fit the size of our bag.<\/p>\n

  <\/a><\/p>\n

  3.\u00a0 Fold the bag topper in half.<\/p>\n

  <\/a><\/p>\n

  4.\u00a0\u00a0Punch two holes on your topper\u00a0for threading raffia through.\u00a0 (You can dress up your Blessing Mix bag by adding metal eyelets\/grommets if you wish, or just leave holes plain.)<\/p>\n

  <\/a><\/p>\n

  5.\u00a0 Adhere ‘Blessing Mix’ poem to the front of your cellophane bag with adhesive of choice.<\/p>\n

  <\/a><\/p>\n

  6.\u00a0 Fill your cellophane bag with a mixture of bugles, pretzels, candy corn, peanuts and orange slices with a heavier concentration on the bugles and pretzels.\u00a0 (Remember to allow enough room to be able to fold over the top of your cellophane bag prior to adding the bag topper.)<\/p>\n

  <\/a><\/p>\n

  7.\u00a0 Fold over the top of your cellophane bag 2-3 small turns.<\/p>\n

  8.\u00a0 Attach bag topper to the filled bag by\u00a0taking your hole punch and punching through the previous punched holes on the topper bag to go through the cellophane.. (Optional:\u00a0 Add grommets or eyelets.)<\/p>\n

  10.\u00a0\u00a0 Thread raffia (or twine or ribbon) through the punched holes and tie.\u00a0 Trim any long or crazy ends.<\/p>\n
