Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and what’s better than fresh flowers… fabric flowers!\u00a0 (they last forever) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Last year, we created fabric flowers for our I Heart Valentine’s Day<\/a> photoshoot – we thought we would share this easy DIY project.\u00a0 It is a perfect way to give flowers to someone special (grandparent, teacher, or even just to sit out in your house for decor – my girls\u00a0sit these flowers \u00a0in their bedrooms).<\/p>\n

Pull out your old fabric scraps and let the fun begin!<\/p>\n

Supplies needed:<\/p>\n

1. Fabric scraps – mix patterns, colors & textures (we even used felt too)<\/p>\n

2. Various circle sizes – use glass bottoms, coasters, cans, quarters, etc…<\/p>\n

3. Scissors<\/p>\n

4. Old buttons<\/p>\n

5. Floral green wire<\/p>\n

Directions:<\/p>\n

First cut several circles in various sizes out of your fabrics (5-7 sizes will create a nice layered affect)<\/p>\n

Next take your floral wire, and poke a hole through each layer of fabric starting with the largest circle.<\/p>\n

Once you have poked a hole through each layer, push the wire through the button hole, and feed through the second button hole.<\/p>\n

Then poke a hole back through all the layers.<\/p>\n

Once you have pushed your wire through to the largest circle, twist the wire shut.<\/p>\n
