I HEART MY DOG BISCUITS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/p>\n

* 1\/4 cup canola oil
\n* 1 cup applesauce
\n* 1\/3 cup beet puree or fresh beet juice
\n* 1 and 1\/2 cups whole-wheat flour
\n* 2 teaspoons baking powder<\/p>\n

Cooking Instructions<\/p>\n

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line pan with parchment paper or grease sheet<\/li>\n
2. In a large bowl whisk together oil, applesauce and beet puree.<\/li>\n
3. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Slowly stir flour mixture into the wet ingredients.\u00a0 (I added a lot more flour because my mixture was really wet – I did use beet puree, so I’m not sure if that was the issue or not)<\/li>\n
4. Knead for 3 minutes. Roll out dough to 1\/4″ and use the cookie cutter of your choice to cut out cookies. Place on prepared cookie sheet (either use parchment paper or grease sheet) and bake 14 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a cookie comes out clean. Remove cookies from the pan and cool on a rack.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
