We have had several questions about how we make crayon favors\u00a0for our parties (Remember my son’s Lego inspired party here<\/a><\/strong>?). \u00a0We are starting to offer customized printable coloring books in the shop<\/a><\/strong>, so making your own themed crayons for your parties seems like the perfect idea for an economical and cute favor!<\/p>\n

Today, I will\u00a0show you the simple steps it takes to recycle your old dingy broken crayons into brand new party favors!!<\/p>\n

Supplies needed:<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nClean soup cans – one can per color\u00a0(pinch\u00a0can inwards, so liquid will pour out easier)
\nOld crayons – sorted by color
\nMold – we found the lego mold here<\/a> and here<\/a><\/strong>
\nClear bags to package<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Directions:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1. Heat a pan of boiling water<\/p>\n

2. Put broken crayons (same\/similar colors) into a can – they can even be dirty… once they melt, the dirtiness will blend away.<\/p>\n

3. Melt crayons -it\u00a0takes only\u00a0a couple minutes….\u00a0 (be careful that your can does not fall over into boiling water – you need to keep it upright.\u00a0 Can will not get hot, so you can hold onto it)<\/p>\n

4. Pour melted crayons into molds<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

5. Let cool – you can put into freezer to cool quicker<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Once liquid is solid, you can pop the crayons out of the mold<\/strong> <\/a>– Put into a bag, and you have a party favor!<\/p>\n

*\u00a0I made pink lego people – who says they have to be boy colors \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Put them in a bag, add a coloring book – so cute, and very inexpensive!!!<\/p>\n

Find candy molds<\/a><\/strong> or soap molds<\/a><\/strong> that match the theme of your party, and create these adorable party favors for your next event!<\/p>\n
