Hello there! Kara Praed here from Freshly Baked Confections + Petite Sweets — and I am so excited to be posting as a guest on Anders Ruff’s blog!
Usually, I am a “team of one” creating specialty treats for Freshly Baked’s clients, so I am always on the lookout for shortcuts that deliver quality without sacrificing creativity. Anders Ruff custom printables are my “go-to” shortcut of choice — and their adorable Nautical Patterned Paper printables put the wind in the sails of these nautical cake pops created on very short notice for a client in Annapolis, MD who loves boating!
With just 24 hours notice to create pops for this client’s off-shore luncheon on the Chesapeake, I knew I had to keep the treats super simple. No time for fancy shapes or designs – but these paper sails provided just the custom touch and “wow factor” I was looking for — with time to spare.
Wouldn’t these treats be a darling addition to a baby shower or little boy’s birthday party? Just mix in some of the super-cute nautical décor below (all on sale and available online right now at Pottery Barn Kids, by the way!) on your dessert table, and everything will be smooth sailing!
What’s your favorite go-to shortcut? Share your time-saving tips and secrets by posting a comment below!
Also be, sure to check out the Two Sugar Babies’ Neverland Pirates Party where she used sails on the cake pops to represent pirate ships! So clever!
You can purchase the set of TEN 8.5×11 Patterned Papers from the Anders Ruff shop (for instant download upon purchase!) in the shop here.
