I don’t know about you guys, but the thought of coming up with Back to School lunches for the next school year is a daunting task. My kids get so tired of sandwiches and so I did some research to give myself new ideas. I found some really great websites that take the typical lunch basics and turn it into creative lunches that even I would want to eat! We all love the classic pbj, apple & hot thermos lunch, but with all the cool Bento style lunch containers, there are such better ways to create your lunch now. (Don’t forget to download our School Day printables to dress up school lunches as well!)
Let’s start with Natasha’s Kitchen. She creates great Bento-style lunches with organic packaged items (such as Yokids squeezers and organic fruit leathers) and then comparmentalizes healthy fresh foods. This is such a well balanced lunch kids would love!
Then I found Ironmum Karla. She uses real Bento box containers to “make food fun and jazz up otherwise unappealing foods into something exciting”. Sign me up for the salad, watermelon cubes, pasta and fig newtons lunch!!!
Last I came across What Lisa Cooks with a FULL YEAR of lunch ideas. Ummm…. this site has so many lunch options…. every kid will be happy with a lunch from these options! She uses ordinary plastic glad-ware containers to create extraordinary lunches!
I hope this helps your week get a little more organized with kid lunches, so you can focus more on your kid parties!
