Aren’t those photos so cute!?  Now…..for all the party details as told by Maegan…

I had been asking Baker for months what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday and every time I asked, he would say, “I want cookies! I want cookies!” So cookies he got! And we’re talking lots and lots of cookies. Nine different flavors, to be exact!

Our little cookie monster was in birthday heaven! An afternoon spent playing with friends & family and eating as many cookies as he wanted. As you can imagine, he has been talking about his “Cookie Party” non-stop ever since!

I could go on and on about how much fun I had planning Baker’s party and I’m so excited to share all the details with you, including all the yummy cookie recipes!

Jars and platters of scrumptious cookies quickly filled the main table so the milk cartons got a special table of their own!

It all started with this adorable invitation created by Maureen at Anders Ruff. Once she sent me the proof, I couldn’t wait to start planning and baking!

As soon as the invites were sent, I started working on the cookie menu with lots of help from the birthday boy, of course! I don’t think Baker has ever met a cookie he didn’t love, so I tried to make all of his favorites, plus some!

We started baking the day before the party and boy was our kitchen covered in cookies by midnight that night! A huge thanks to my amazing mom (Baker’s SuSu) for all her help! Can you guess how many cookies we baked?

If you guessed 396, you are right!!! And we are so proud of all our friends & family who came to celebrate with Baker that afternoon because we only had a small platter of cookies left when all was eaten and done!

Baker absolutely loved helping, and guarding, and counting, and tasting all HIS cookies as we baked them!

For his “big birthday cookie”, he requested chocolate chip so I went with these Extraordinary Chocolate Chip Cookies from bettycrocker.com, but replaced the chocolate chips with chocolate chunks and pressed more chocolate chunks onto the tops of each cookie as soon as they came out of the oven. Two thumbs up from the birthday boy!

He even decided to share his “big cookies” with everyone who came to the party by sending them home with one in these cute little cookie bags!  We loved these rich little cookies so much that we decided to send everyone home with a few in these adorable customized milk cartons.
