Maureen has been a huge fan of Lisa Leonard’s Designs for years and there’s absolutely no question as to why!  Each piece of their jewelry is hand cut, hammered, polished, drilled and assembled with care and then hand-stamped with your kids’ names or a special phrase or verse.  Their products are truly stunning, so when they offered one of our fans a $75 gift card and told Maureen and Adria to pick out a necklace for themselves – there was quite a bit of excitement over here!

Adria’s necklace:  “I was thrilled to receive my Lisa Leonard necklace – it is classy and sophisticated with a whimsical touch!  Every time I wear it, I receive countless comments on it’s elegance and customization.  I adored it so much that I bought one for my mom for mother’s day.  She was thrilled!!!  It is a perfect addition to my jewelry collection!!!”

Maureen’s Necklace:  “I had just come home from a long and stressful trip  and at my doorstep was the box from Lisa Leonard. I opened it and immediately put on the necklace. It was the perfect thing and had so much meaning!  My charms, the J, P, and J (my boys and husbands initials) are the reason for everything I do and having that necklace around my neck keeps them close to my heart all day.  They are the reason for everything I do, including the trip I had just returned from.”

Lisa Leonard’s Designs are so heartfelt and personal not only for the uniqueness of each one, but also for the personalization on each one.  However, there is something else beautiful and poetic about these designs, and that is Lisa and her families story!  AMAZING…

Family

Lisa grew up in North Orange County California and is married with two adorable sons.  She carried her first, David, full term not having any idea that something was wrong.  The day before he was born it became clear that there were some issues, so they brought her in & induced. David was only four pounds & had just two fingers on his left hand.  Lisa and her husband were told by doctors that he would basically be a “vegetable” and was diagnosed with Cornelia De Lange Syndrome.  Just 18 months later their second son, Matthias was born!

A few years  later her husband took a job in San Luis Obispo as the pastor and Lisa was working in special education & did in-home therapy with toddlers with special needs. With two babies at home, one with severe special needs, she felt like she was doing the same thing at home as she was at work. Wanting to spend more time with her boys and break up her home and work life, she began building her jewelry business.   She soon found out that people were really interested in what she was making and she as on the forefront of a jewelry movement that was super organic and grassroots!
