It’s Not Just a Tea Party, it’s a TEA-Pee Party

This TEA-Pee party puts a twist on your average tea party by combining it with Tee-Pees.  A combination that is truly unique, but the ultimate in beauty and cohesiveness when Christina Goff of 4 Kids Cake  is the one styling the event!  As a mother of 3 boys and only 1 girl, Christina jumps at opportunities to be super girly and this party definitely proves that.  We were super excited to be able to create printables for Christina’s daughters Tea-Pee party which were created to coordinated with the carefully chosen tee-pee fabrics.  You find the TEA-Pee Party collection here in our shop.

A few of my favorite elements from the TEA-pee party are:
– Coordinating shabby chic fabrics used for the tee pees and for the girls outfits
– Tee Pee place card holders made out of ice cream cones
– Tea bag cookies sitting in the tea cups
– Candy Kabobs

Details on the party from Chritina Goff:
Our little girl is the baby of the family & with all brothers, we love opportunities to be really girly.  We wanted to come up with a twist on the traditional Tea Party.  Haley from Randomly Simple makes the cutest Tee-Pee’s – so we came up with a way to blend the two, with a Tee-Pee Tea Party – or as we lovingly call it – our TEA-Pee Party.   Once the fabrics were chosen for the tee-pee’s, Anders Ruff designed the printables set – even including the cutest teabag tags for us to use with the tea bag cookies by Sweet Themes Bakery.  What birthday girl wouldn’t like this?  We headed to Filigree Farm in Buckley WA for this party.  It’s a brand new outdoor wedding & party venue.  It was gorgeous.
Going for a rustic feel, Shabby Sisters made us this table out of all reclaimed wood.  It was perfect for the girls!  For the table setting, we used antique tea cups & saucers from our family.  I loved that they were all different, and the girls all had their favorite to use.  Teaspoons with miniature teapots on them were the perfect touch.  “Sweet-Tea” tea cozies & a tea strainer by Kate Aspen & custom teapot sugar cubes by Wishing Well Art.  The girls were so excited to use and eat them!  Plates of different sizes from Target finished off the settings.  We used dish towels from the dollar section at Target as our cloth napkins & wooden silverware by Susty Party was a great compliment.  Ribbons in coordinating colors pulled it all together.  Cake Pops on the cutest pearl sticks by Paining Paris Pink were accented with edible images of the tee-pee.  Cake Truffles, & chocolate dipped Macarons by 4KidsCakes were a favorite of the girls.  Sweet Themes Bakery is our go-to cookie vendor & they created gorgeous works of art for this party….not only are they cute, but they taste amazing!  Birthday Tea from Sweet Themes bakery was yummy & smells so good!Cupcake with Character made & provided the pillows the girls sat on as well as the  smaller accent pillows.  Touches of lace were found everywhere.  Comfy Cozy offers fun printed pillow cases -which were a fun keepsake for the girls & they even glow in the dark!  I love to be creative, and can sew (a little), but when you know great seamstress’s – why go anywhere else?  Stylish Tailor & Stitch This joined forces to create the skirts & shirts the girls wore.  I love how I can give them a theme & they create such adorable products but still gave the girls an individual look that complimented each other.  We finished off their outfits with barefoot sandals from Pink Bear Boutique  & hair pieces by Tallulah Twinkletoes. We wanted an exagerated “big” look & Tallulah came through as always!  Becks Custom Creations made the girls adorable chunky bracelets.  AutumLynn’sSins provided the cute gumball necklaces.  The girls had a blast primping in front of their Princess Mirrors.
Our dessert table offered a few more choices for the girls.  Kate Aspen lace favor boxes held pink cake truffles for the girls to take home, accented with AndersRuff tags.  The pastel Candy Kabobs with tea cups on the top from Sweets Indeed were a hit & complimented by Lollipics lollipops.  They printed images from the printables set right onto suckers for us.  They can even print a photo for you – how cute!  The pink lollipic was the first thing the birthday girl ate :).  The Candy Kabobs (by the orange lollipops) from Sweets from Heaven were yummy too & the girls loved them!  Mini mason jars were filled with green gumballs from Target & topped with Daisy Lids from the Pretty Party Shoppe & tags from Anders Ruff.  More cookies & a Princess Torta cake finished off the sweet options.  This cake, while simple in appearance is delicious.  Growing up in Sweden every summer as a kid, I celebrated my birthday there every year with one of these cakes.  With a yellow cake, raspberry preserves, custard, & whipped cream on the inside, and covered in marzipan – it is a special birthday memory that I was excited to bring into this birthday party.  You can find a yummy recipe for this and the history of this cake here: http://semiswede.com/2011/09/21/princess-cake-demystified-prinsesstarta/  A selection of gourmet teas from Sweet Themes Bakery finished off the table.

  1. LOVED being part of this party and creating the Custom Printed Pillowcases. The original art design by Anders Ruff made it so much fun to create a coordinating design for the pillowcase and the Glow in the Dark image. Customers can contact me for information on ordering this design for their guests. Thank you so much Christina for including Comfy Cozy® in your party!!!
