Children’s Christmas Party (Cookies & Milk)

Everyday Party Magazine Christmas Cookies and Milk Party with AndersRuff PrintablesJessica from Everyday Party contacted us about printables for a Kids Christmas Party she was hosting for one of her sons.  Our Santas Cookie Exchange Instant Download collection turned out to be a perfect fit for the cookies and cocoa (and movie and milk) party! Below Jessica outlines the details of this adorable party

Some adorable features we love about this party:
– Electric train set up on top of the dessert table
– Letters available for kids to write to Santa
– DIY gable boxes made with a Cricut machine

Everyday Party Magazine Christmas Cookies and Milk Party with AndersRuff PrintablesI have four boys, and two are still in elementary school, so I tend to host parties for them more often than I do the older two boys.  Recently, I invited a few of my third son’s friends over for cookies, milk, hot cocoa, and Christmas movies.  It was a wonderful time, and the kids all had a fabulous time.  I love the printables from Anders Ruff!  The Christmas Cookies and Milk Party was for my little middle, and it was so great to celebrate with him and make him feel special.

Since my mantel and Christmas tree are decorated and gorgeous (thanks Balsam Hill and Cricut) I decided to place the dessert and favor table next to the tree, in front of the fire place.  The kids were asked to bring cookies to share, and we added a few more cookie choices and snacks to the table.  I also had ice cold milk and warm cocoa for the kids to drink.

Since we were planning on watching The Polar Express, I picked up an inexpensive train set from 5 Below for the table.  I used red yarn and tiny clothes pins to hang the “cookie” banner from AndersRuff in front of the table.  I covered the table with some fabric I had in my stash.  Wooden crates and kraft paper covered boxes were the perfect place to add cake plates for cookies.

Everyday Party Magazine Christmas Cookies and Milk Party with AndersRuff PrintablesTo make things easier for everyone, I used the blank tags from AndersRuff as food tents, and and wrote in each type of cookie with a sharpie.

Everyday Party Magazine Christmas Cookies and Milk Party with AndersRuff PrintablesI made small gable boxes with my Cricut (in the design space) for extra cookies for the kiddos as they left, and I added small the Thank You tags from AndersRuff.  I also had small bags of cinnamon cookies with AndersRuff tags clipped on with more tiny clothes pins.  We also happened to have just the right amount of CandyBobs left over from Sweets From Heaven, Orange County, so each kiddo got to take one of those home too!
