Today I am sharing with you a super sweet Pancakes, Pajamas and Pigtails Christmas Party I threw last weekend for Grayce and her friends. I asked Grayce if she wanted to do a Christmas brunch.. maybe serve some pancakes… and after we threw out ideas, we came up with Pancakes, Pajamas {and Pigtails} party. The party was intended for a small gift exchange among best friends along with games, and then a charity project so we could give back to others as well. We had a snowball toss with marshmallows, candy guessing game and card making for the US Troops via NROTC and The Safyre Christmas Card Project.I set up a pancake bar with fresh fruit, syrup, whipped cream & powdered sugar.
I then set the table with a Christmas activity place mat and Christmas candies.
The girls worked on their place mat games while I cooked in the kitchen.
We toasted to a fun day and then dug into our pancake brunch! I served mini pancakes, with bacon & sausage… powdered donuts, fresh fruit, and ham & spinach quiche.
Orange juice for the kids and Mama Mimosas for the Moms! You can find our Free printable activity place mats and bottle tags here.
After a yummy brunch, it was time for the gift exchange and games! Trust me… the girls were excited!
We played a candy guessing game, Grayce wanted to do it for the girls so she counted them all out for me….186 total! (that game always surprises me on the amount) lol
Then we did a snowball toss with marshmallows. I wanted it to seem like it was snowing when they tossed them, so I coated the marshmallows with powdered sugar.
The snowball toss got a little messy but the girls had so much fun. I even took a few turns (it was harder than it appeared). After games the girls created Christmas cards for the US Troops and a very special little girl named, Safyre. This was actually my favorite part of the afternoon because the girls put so much effort into their drawings and the messages were so heart-felt.
If you want to send or make cards for charity, there is still time left!
