Our creative friend Jessica from Everyday Party Magazine, with an amazing story by the way, shared with us this super cute Rustic 4th of July celebration:
My sister and her kids just left to visit family out of state and she won’t be home until after the 4th of July, so we hosted a quick little pre-party for the 4th. I was able to throw this party together using decorations I already had at home, printables from AndersRuff, and a quick trip to the grocery store for pre-made desserts.
I used the RUSTIC 4TH OF JULY PRINTABLE collection from ANDERSRUFF. I love this collection! It works so well with everything I already use to decorate my home for the holiday. I am drawn to rustic, old, and “crusty” things from the past. Old Coca Cola crates, yes please; old wood, yep; burlap, that too. I printed up most of the printable set from AndersRuff (there are 17 pages!) and started to gather stuff from the house to decorate the table. The backdrop was one I recently made and used for my nephew’s birthday party, and I LOVE it, and the banner across the back was from the Target Dollar Spot. Coca Cola crates held coke cans, decorated water bottles and a bucket of sparklers. I used printable straw flags as tape to hold straws to the cans and bottles too! The Coca Cola crates were also a good backdrop for the printable popcorn boxes.
The opposite side of the table was where I placed all of the sweet treats. A store bought pie sat on a small cake plate, and cupcakes topped with printable party circles from AR were adorable on my red and white cake plates. I used a tin can to hold a pair of small American Flags on the cake plate too.
My niece and nephew love coming to Aunt Bunny’s house because I always have candy, and what happens at Bunny’s stays at Bunny’s…so, of course I needed to have candy on the table! I picked up a few bags of red, white, and blue wrapped candies, and taffy, and placed them in a vintage Ball jar and paper berry boxes. I also bought some mini pies for the adults to take home, and added a cute little 4th of July label and 1/2 a straw flag to the boxes for a little Patriotic touch.
I even made a few 4th of July shirts with my CRICUT for the party! This little party took me just a few hours to put together, including shopping, printing, and making shirts; and was less than $40! And we were able to celebrate the 4th of July together!
