We love this Mom and Me Event and although it was hosted as a Christmas event it’s a party that would work ANYTIME! As we enter into this long stretch of winter it can be a challenge to find fun events that kids and parents both love. Not anymore, this is the answer!!
Event Stylist, Sarah Sofia Knepp, of Sarah Sofia Productions Event Design tells us her take and ideas on this Mom and Me Event.
It’s a festive way to bond with your children and create something together that you’ll be able to have for the holidays for years to come. This adorable Mom and Me Christmas Craft Party has been in the making since the beginning of summer! Yes, that’s about the average timeline of many of our parties!
Anders Ruff Workshop recently opened its doors and was the perfect venue for our Christmas Craft Party. Guests arrived and quickly found the wood sign they had picked out to design! First up was sanding all the wood pieces and picking out stains and paint colors.
Kids and moms alike enjoyed painting their stenciled design onto the wood and putting the sign together as they sang along to Christmas music!
While waiting for the wood signs to dry guests enjoyed milk and Christmas cookies made with love by one of the talented moms, Amy Dong!
Since we were making plank wood signs and wanted the party to have a vintage feel to it. I found most of the vintage blue and white Christmas décor at Hobby Lobby with the addition of holiday personalized pillows from Tiny Prints and garland from Frontgrate.
Even the moms enjoyed a sweet treat!
Everyone was excited to rip the stencil off carefully and put the finishing touches on their custom Christmas wood signs!Everyone was so excited to show off their custom Christmas wood planked signs!
In addition to making their custom Christmas wood sign each guest received mini bell Christmas ornaments to take home.
