They are the perfect addition to your indoor and outdoor parties, or just for casual snacking with your family! If you’re a part of our AR Workshop® VIP DIYer’s Group on Facebook, you probably saw our fun live tutorial on how to create one version of cones. We thought it would be fun to share those with you in photo form plus 5 additional charcuterie cone ideas to try! The versatility of charcuterie cones is endless, and the stand can also be used in so many creative ways!
We are saying “move over charcuterie boards”, because we’ve got something cuter! Introducing charcuterie cones and the adorable DIY stands for displaying them, now available at AR Workshops nationwide! Charcuterie boards have been trending for several years now, which is no surprise. Who doesn’t love individual portions of savory meat paired with little wedges of cheese, crackers, sweet fruit, salty nuts, and scrumptious mini treats? They are the perfect snack board for just about any social occasion and make it easy for sharing and grazing…until they weren’t. Enter COVID-19 and social distancing. Suddenly, community snack trays weren’t so popular or welcome. You know what they say, “Necessity is the mother of invention.” Charcuterie cones–individual snack cones– were born and the need for an awesome way to serve them was needed! We happen to think the cones are an elevated version of the boards and fully expect they will be popular for years to come.
As mentioned above, we demonstrated making our signature meat and cheese charcuterie cones on our AR Workshop® VIP DIYer’s Group . You can check out photos of similar charcuterie cones we also created below. They are so simple to create! We love using food safe bamboo paper cones (because they don’t show food grease). Paper and even reusable plastic, metal or glass cones also work. The process involves layering ingredients in the cones. For these we layered: tall focaccia crackers, twisted breadsticks, skewers of folded meat, a wedge of cheese, skewers of fresh fruit and olives, dried apricots and nuts. Top off with a sprig of fresh herbs for garnish (rosemary or oregano, for example). Of course, this is just one example, and you can make substitutions using what you have on hand at home!
As you can see in the photos above, there are several different designs you can choose from to personalize your charcuterie cone stand! Plus, you can pick a custom stain or paint color from the variety of options we have available at the workshop.
Here’s another festive cone idea! These red, white and blue charcuterie cones are waffle cones dipped in chocolate and filled with refreshing seasonal berries. How cute are the little party flags peeking out of the top of each cone? Wouldn’t these be a fun addition to a patriotic gathering? We think so!
Get ready for movie night with these popcorn charcuterie cones! Good times with good friends are made even better with a great snack! These charcuterie cones are the perfect combination of salty and sweet! We mixed popcorn with dried cranberries and peanuts! Grab your favorite movie. Invite some friends. Make some popcorn cones. Enjoy!
Step right up and get your cotton candy cones! Can you even handle the cuteness? Imagine your summer parties and the excited faces of your guests when they see these colorful cones of yumminess! Tubs of cotton candy are available at many grocery stores and dollar stores. Serving cotton candy in charcuterie cones is a great way to portion out the sweetness.
These next cones will make you feel like you’ve died and gone to candy heaven. Need a quick treat idea for your next birthday party or a fun take home favor? These candy charcuterie cones are so easy to put together! What’s great about them is you can use up all of your candy leftovers! Just start by filling up the cone bottom with random candy leftovers. Then, stick a few smaller coordinated treats like gum drops or gummy bears on skewers. Fill in with suckers and unwrapped treats and sweets. Add a fun party flag, and get ready to celebrate with a sugar rush!
One of our favorite charcuterie cone ideas just happens to be an amazing treat for summer. It’s the S’mores cone! Fill a waffle cone with marshmallows and chocolate chips for this easy summer treat! Just before serving, wrapping the cones in aluminum foil and heat over your fire pit, for some resulting chocolatey, marshmallow goodness that hits the spot!
