The Sweetest Tiny Party

We have been holding onto this party feature until after the holidays and are excited to share it with you all!

Our client, Molly {who happens to be have her own photography business} planned a Tiny party that was sweet in a big way!  I just LOVE tiny parties!

Now, for the eye candy, starting with the tiny invite, and then the party details {In Molly’s words}…

What a cutie pie!!!

My little Lola turned one on Labor Day, and it was most fitting to celebrate her very big day in a tiny way.  Anders Ruff printables were an amazing guide to decorating the party.  The bright mix of the colors–hot pink, lime green, and aqua blue–were fresh and fun; even when I was buying those three color balloons, the lady said that she loved that combination and needed to remember it for the future.

Everything was just a little cuter smaller from the mini-banners to mini-party hats.  I used the printable paper to make my own creations like the welcome sign and banner with a picture from each month of Lola’s life.  I also enlisted the help of my crafty friends.  I just happen to have very crafty older twin sisters that have their own budding businesses.

My sister, Amy Hill, owner of Ella Sophia handbags sewed me up some miniature purses; they were so cute and were filled up with little trickets that I found (mini-books, post-it notes, highlighters, bubbles, stamps, stickers). My other sister, Annie Sorsa, who you may remember from the featured superhero party makes her capes with Kid Kapers, made the little shirt for the birthday girl, to match her tutu skirt from Children’s Place.  My friend, Katrina Bolger, also has her own cake business and put together the cake and mini-cupcakes to match the decor and colors.  That cake seriously tasted as good as it looked–yum!

The older kids at the party entertained themselves in our little bouncy that we own and also had a great time expressed their artistic side painting tiny canvases.  The best deal that I found at the time on these was at Joann Fabrics.  This was a perfect activity because it was quick, gave the guests a nice memento to go home with, and they turned out really neat and abstract.

The food included about every mini-processed food with a few healthier snacks snuck in there.  The mini food included fruit kabobs, oreos, chips-a-hoy cookies, goldfish, carrots, licorice, peanut butter crackers, suckers, and of course, mini-M&M’s.  My husband Kris was super-stoked that I would allow White Castles (since they are mini-hamburgers and all.  I don’t know if White Castle is really ever acceptable, but it did make him happy 🙂 along with mini-PBJ’s for the kids.  I also made mini-carmel apples by using a melon scooper on apples and dipping in carmel and made chocolate pudding to put in those adorable little dessert dishes that I spotted at IKEA.

As for the photo booth, I used the Anders Ruff mini-banner in front of the polkadot backdrop from Rock the Drops and Anders Ruff mini party hats, Kid Kapers mini-cape, and other tiny hats.  The best part about photo booths for kids is that they can be a big goofball and can have fun in the pictures.

Thank you, Anders Ruff, for the flawless printables for a first birthday theme that was a little outside of the box!
