This elegant baby shower was styled by The Pear for one of their own, Alexis Campbell! With Baby Boy #2 on the way the baby shower used black and gold tones, and the perfect touch of blue was added with blue mason jars on the drink table. It’s one of my favorite elements of this party. Subtle enough to keep the party feeling elegant, yet enough of an impact to make it evident that it’s a baby shower. We recently featured the amazing camping party that Alexis threw for her older sons fifth birthday. Clearly when The Pear is involved in the styling of the party, it’s going to be an event worth checking out.
Some incredible styling elements to keep your eye out for:
– Blue mason jars on the drink table (wrapped with adorable black and white bows)
– Sequined black and white chevron table runner
– Beautiful gold and black plates (similar here) at each place setting
– Mimosa Bar
– Gorgeous bouquets on the tables made with various kinds of white flowers
Other fabulous parties with an elegant feel:
– Vintage Pink and Gold Bridal Shower
– An Elegant Black and White 40th Birthday Party
– A Glittery Glam 40th Birthday Party
– A Chic Black and White Damask Wedding Shower
Being able to set the guest of honors seat apart from the rest is a great way to make sure they have prime location at their own party. There’s always balloons or bunting, but a wreath on the back of the chair like the one above is unique and elegant. It flows with the feel of the rest of the party and the guest of honor can take the wreath home to enjoy since every good party must come to an end.
The Mimosa Bar with the blue mason jars is definitely one of the elements of this party I probably won’t be able to stop talking about. As the only blue decoration it definitely lets you know that Ms Alexis Campbell is indeed carrying a baby boy bundle, but it doesn’t take away from the sophistication of the rest of the decorations. Typically baby showers carry elements of the baby with soft pink bottles or baby blue rattles so adding just a touch of the babies’ gender color to sophisticated colors makes it a shower that can still be about the Mommy and they type of parties she likes.
Throughout the party there little signs with the cutest sayings. You can see the one on the gift table, but the one on the table with big brothers pictures is one that will melt the heart of even the toughest. How sweet is that…..Because I have a brother, I will always have a friend. LOVE it!
Alexis Campbell and Jennifer Shah joined forces in 2012 and formed The Pear – An Event Styling and Planning company. “They each share love for detail and all things party!” We love when they share their parties with us since we too love all things party (and pretty!)
