Ruff Draft: Smokin' Hot BBQ Birthday Party - Anders Ruff Custom Designs, LLC

Today we are showing you a perfect summer themed adult birthday party that I recently threw for local friends of mine. The theme: Smokin’ Hot Birthdays, in honor of two friends of mine – Ali & Bill (who share birthdays a few days a part). We had a neighborhood party and everyone pulled out their smoker’s for some Smokin’ Hot BBQ. The girls and I created some simple party ideas I think you will love including!

Some of our favorite printables used in this party:
– Boxed Red Hot candy wraps
– Hot sauce wraps
– Match box wraps
– Flames for stacked logs
– Photo banner with burt edges

We lined the table with red & white checked table cloth and strung a banner of black & white photos of the birthday boy & girl. We also burned the edges of the photos with matches to give that Smokin’ Hot effect. We set out real lanterns along with bottles that had printable flames coming out of them. We displayed a DIY marshmallow roaster we created from our Rustic Glam NYE party – roasting marshmallows went right along with this Smokin’ Hot BBQ theme!

We decorated a store bought cake with home-made chocolate covered strawberries, Printable cake toppers, and of course old photos of the birthday boy & girl. Here are the Smokin’ Hot honorees now! (I would say Bill & Ali are just as hot as they ever were) lol

We made chocolate dipped strawberries and blackberries, since we are in prime berry season right now – yum!

We also had salted caramel brownies to share on the table – these were soooo good!

We of course had to have a beer tasting for the boys (and girls) to go along with our Smokin’ Hot Birthday Bash! Beer Tasting Board!

Later in the evening we played more games and had birthday cake!

And a little late-night karaoke! (Sorry neighbors – yikes!!)
