Have you carved your Halloween pumpkin yet!?  All month long, we have been sharing ideas for our Grumpy Cat Pumpkin Carving Party.  Teaming up with Petsmart and Friskies has been a blast!  We shared our painted Grumpkin, our easy no-bake Chocolate Marshmallow Pumpkin Pops, and our Candy Corn Jello Parfait recipe.

Today, we are sharing the entire Pumpkin Carving Party and our new Pumpkin Carving Printable Collection!  We had a BLAST putting this together!  The kids had so much fun and loved carving their own Grumpkins using the free printable Grumpy Cat Pumpkin Template (download here).

We set up a desserts and treats table for the kiddos using simple Pumpkin Carving Printables and some easy to find decorations and props.

All you need to recreate this look are a few simple things…
– Black Vases
– White Cake Stands
– Black Cheesecloth Table Cloth
– White Platters – Set of 3 (which we use for EVERY party almost!)
– White Shred
– Black & White Striped Cups
– Clear Containers (ours were Nashville Wraps)
– Black and White Nut Cups
– Orange Cupcake Wrappers (from Bella Cupcake Couture)
– Black Totes (for favor)
– Black Pillow Boxes (for favors) (ours were Nashville Wraps)
– Orange and white chevron paper straws
– Black and White Twine
– Pumpkin Party Printable Set (Instant download)
– Pumpkin Paper Plate Pinata (see below)

and to fill the table, just a few simple treats!
– Cute Candy Corn Jello Parfaits
– Simple Chocolate Marshmallow Pumpkin Pops
– Candy Corn
– Orange Drink (Gatorade, etc)
– Cupcakes

Our Chocolate Marshmallow Pumpkin Pops were a hit and we added a printable party flag from our Pumpkin Carving Party Printable Collection.

We added a printable flag to our cute orange and white chevron paper straws to display in our Black & White Striped Cups with an orange beverage. Of course we punched out a 2″ circle using a craft punch from our  party logos in the pumpkin carving collection. Print, punch and use!

We created cupcake toppers by punching out a 2″ circle using a craft punch from our printable party logos in the collection. Using this crepe paper ruffle fan tutorial, we created a matting for the topper and stuck it to the lollipop stick. The cupcakes were so cute nested in the Bella Cupcake Couture wrappers.

Candy corn was displayed in these cute clear containers from Nashville Wraps.  We wrapped black and white twine around the container and added a printable party logo after using the 2″ circle craft punch.

Printable Favor Tags were added to cotton black trick or treat totes. (these were for the kiddos to take home)

The kids LOVED carving their Grumpkins using the FREE Grumpy Cat Pumpkin Template.

 

The finished Grumpkins were ADORABLE and each one was different. I was so impressed by Kylie’s Grumpkin!

Oh, and Andy’s Grumpkin, too! He did a great job as well!

After the kids were done with their Grumpkins, they got to hit the Pinata.

This DIY Paper Plate Pumpkin Pinata cost me under $1 and was SO cute!

Materials to make Pumpkin Pinata:
– 20 Orange Round Paper Plates (any size will work! You can find these at $1 store or Walmart or here)
– Brown and Black Construction Paper or Cardstock.
– Stapler

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Follow the instructions to make the paper plate polyhedron here.
2) Hot glue the triangle eyes and mouth (we hand cut from the black cardstock)
3) Make the stem by making a brown cardstock cylinder and slitting up two sides to slide over the top paper plate. Glue in place.

The kids used a cardboard tube covered in orange wrapping paper to take their swing at the pinata….

The kids had a blast at their Grumpkin Pumpkin Carving Party!
