A special thanks to Evite and Cavit for sponsoring this post and sharing the idea! #EviteParty
Adria and I are always looking for unexpected uses of everyday items. Adria likes loves to drink wine (yep, I said it) and has an entire crate of wine corks and so we LOVE to find use for corks in our parties and decor. (Remember how we made the DIY Fireworks 4th of July backdrop with corks!?)
Our friends at Evite shared this amazing tutorial for making wine glass charms out of corks and we just had to share. I think the idea is brilliant and so versatile for any theme.
Follow these instructions to make your own in no time! (Use your leftover corks from your Cavit wine!)

Time: 15 minutes for 5 charms
Level of Difficulty: Medium
Materials:
- Wine corks
- Nail
- Hammer
- Fine-point permanent marker
- Numbers stencil
- Brass beading hoops or wine glass charms wire (available at craft stores or online)
- Chef’s knife
Directions:
Step 1: Cut cork into thin circular slices.
Step 2: Using a stencil and marker, write numbers on the cork slices.
Step 3: Hammer a nail into the top of each cork slice to make a hole and loop brass beading hoop into the hole.
Step 4: Attach each wine charm to the base of a glass.
Voila! Isn’t that so simple and yet so cute!
