I don’t know about you but I LOVE holiday traditions! I also love hearing what traditions my friends have with their families. (I like to start NEW ones!) One tradition idea that my friend Shannon had was to make holiday cookie cutter pizzas with her kids. This holiday recipe is SO easy (Which is what you wanted to hear, right? Especially for us moms during the holiday season!)
Every kid LOVES using cookie cutters – whether it is to cut out sugar cookies, playdoh, and NOW Pizzas! My kids went crazy and loved this tradition of homemade pizzas with their own toppings and in fun shapes. (They were reminded about cookie cutter pizzas from their favorite story, Curious George’s Pizza Party)
I am so busy during the holidays, but I still try to cook yummy and balanced meals, so I always turn to easy to use toppings like Mezzetta products. (My boys fight over who gets the most mild pepper rings and I always hog the spanish olives! ha!) I tend to keep a stockpile in my pantry because we use their ingredients in so many recipes and they are so flavorful and fresh tasting with just the twist of a jar!

I can’t wait to show you how cute and simple these Holiday Cookie Cutter Pizzas are by using Mezzetta toppings! (You can make them anytime of year, just change the cookie cutter!)

INGREDIENTS: (Note: Quantities are not listed because you can determine how much of each ingredient you use on your own pizza!)
– Pizza Dough (We buy frozen)
– Mezzetta Kalamata Olives
– Mezzetta Deli-Sliced Roasted Bell Pepper Strips
– Mezzetta Deli-Sliced Mild Pepper Rings
– Mezzetta Spanish Olives
– Feta Cheese
– Mozzerella Cheese
– Olive Oil
– Pizza Sauce
– Parsley (for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Generously flower your surface and spread out your pizza dough after following the instructions on your package. (Mine had me take it out to room temp for 10 minutes). We stretched, spun and rolled our dough nice and thin.
Step 2: Cut the dough out with your cookie cutters of your choice. Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
Step 3:
Bake the cut out shapes for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
Step 4: Top with pizza sauce.
Step 5: Use the cheeses and Mezzetta toppings to create yummy pizzas.
Step 6: Bake at 400 for another 5-10 minutes, or until the crust is the color of your liking. We like ours a little crispy, so we put ours in for 10 minutes.
Step 7: Enjoy! (Now tell me these aren’t the cutest!?)
Here are some of our favorite cookie cutter pizza flavor profiles…
Now tell me those aren’t the cutest!?
