A Girlie Woodland Owl Birthday Party

Jen Ward is a super sweet and talented client of ours and we LOVED the theme that she approached us with for her daughter’s birthday at the end of last year.  Her daughter, Autumn, celebrates her birthday in the Autumn, so she went with a Woodland Owl theme.  Her color scheme of reds, pink, aqua and lime mixed with wood grains was the perfect combination of girlie and woodland!  I was ready for a fresh girl theme, and we hope you enjoy her gorgeous party photos!

I can see this theme being used for not only little girls birthday parties, but for boys (maybe with a color change?) or even baby showers!?

Be sure to keep a lookout for the creative desserts!  Meringue acorns (using Nilla wafers + chocolate chip + meringue cookie) and the Marshmallow toadstool pops! (PRECIOUS!)

Jen invited Autumn’s friends with this fun printable owl party invitation and enclosure card that let the friends know it was going to be an “Owl-nighter” sleepover. I love how she tied the envelope shut with twine and added a printable party logo from the Woodland Owl printable collection….

Here are more details from Jen:
“I decided to incorporate pumpkins into the party decor to help it feel more Fall. The girls made owl pumpkins using seeds and pine cones. We ended the night with a sleepover and all of the girls received owl pillows from Bwinks.

My absolute favorite was the dessert table. I made meringue acorns and marshmallow toadstools. We also had cake, cupcakes, cookies and caramel apples. I made the backdrop and I am lucky to have a friend who owns a vintage furniture and prop rental company and she provided all the frames, banners and furniture.

I found a gal on Etsy who makes the most amazing felt creatures and she made the owl to match the Anders Ruff owl invites and the toadstools.

The girls got to grab their party favors in a burlap bag which included custom owl lollipops by SweetNiks, Squirrel mix (trail mix — tagged with an Anders Ruff printable label), Adorable Owl candy bars & woodland pencils, notepads & stickers.”
