Are you ready to fly up, up and away!? We are sharing our third feature on a Kiss with Style party today. This was our third theme that we worked on for Kiss with Style.
Their idea to offer themed birthday parties in Australia has left us busy creating new printable packages that are whimsical, stylish and unique. We are thrilled with our collaboration – we get to do our favorite thing – design. Plus, their ideas and themes are so unique and fresh! We get so many requests for the same themes, so working with Kate and Yolanda who have a wonderful vision for beautiful new themes keeps us on our toes.
I know you are ready to see the fabulous photos so wait no longer…
Introducing “Hot Air Balloon Birthday Party” – styled by Kiss with Style. The complete printable package and invitations are now available in our shop, too!
The beautiful dessert table reveal. I could look at it over and over again. Every time I see it, I notice a new styling technique or prop detail that I fall in love with!
Oh, and wait until you see the desserts. These whimsical cookies are almost too pretty to eat! Same with the balloon cake pops! Look at the level of detail that Kate puts into her beautiful confections! What little boy or girl wouldn’t want to go “up, up and away” with this beautiful themed birthday party!
We designed printables to coordinate with the table and I love how they styled the table and beverages with the printables. Look at the precious vintage glass beverage bottles!
This party gets me so excited – I love the fresh new theme and stunning vintage props.
Check out the precious mail box favors that Yolanda tucked our favor tag postcard into? I adore the twine they used to hang the printable labels from the lolly jars. That right there shows you the level of thought they put into these parties. The twine even reminds you of a hot air balloon string! The lolly jar flat party labels are meant to look like postage stamps.
Above, you can see the postcard style chocolate bar wrappers that we designed for the Up and Away Hot Air Balloon printable package.
I just had to do another collage with the cookies and cake pops… and precious cupcakes! Doesn’t the icing remind you of clouds?
Precious field of grass with stunning postal envelope cookies and more hot air balloon cake pops….
Check out the vintage air balloon prop!
Above shows another shot of the precious candy and beverage details as well as the printable invitation. I love how this all came together!
Be sure to visit Kiss with Style to see more of their fabulous themed party offerings. If you are in the Melbourne area, Kiss with Style is a jewel and would style the most incredible birthday party for you!
We are happy to now offer the exclusive printables shown in this styled shoot in our shop.
Hi there,
I love your party theme. I was planning to have an Airplane theme party for my son on Jan. Can you please tell me where or how did you do the light blue background with lots of clouds?
Thank you and Oh, I love this blog so much. I have been following this blog for 2 months now and I am loving every single entry you have. Very helpful and inspiring.
Thank you once again and hoping to hear your feedback.
Best regards,
From Switzerland
Hi there! This was done by Kiss me Kate in Australia… I think it was a printed backdrop they used.. Gorgeous, right!? Thanks so much for your sweet words. I will ask them where they got it.

What an incredible party. I’m sure it tasted delicious! Could you please steer me in the direction of where I can find the candy “clouds”? I’ve been looking for something exactly like that for a party I’m throwing. Thank you so very much!
Hi Christine! These are from Australia…. not sure of the source but I can find out. Please email me at maureen@andersruff.com
Love it! We had a hot air balloon party this fall too. Not nearly so detailed, but we did have a great cake! I wrote it up on the blog. My kids love hot air balloons and we found My Little Pony hot air balloon toys this Christmas that have become their favorites!
I love it all! It’s simply stunning. What a perfect marriage of cakes, graphic design and styling. The attention to detail is second to none. I hope I can do something like this one day!
This is amazing, I love it! Can you please tell me where can I buy the hanging hot air balloon?

Good Morning…My mom and dads 50th anniversary is coming up. My dad asked my mom to marry him in a hot air ballon so that is what we would like to use as the theme.
I love you hot air ballons and cookies do you let people buy them from you? Please let me know…Kelly
Hi Kelly! These were actually from a photo shoot done in Australia! We have some great vendors in our favorite things section under Sweets that you could contact – I’m sure they would be able to make you something similar, if not exact (and they’ll taste great!) You can find the printables here in our shop!
