Here are the party details in Jessica’s words…
We always knew we wanted the theme for our son, Brady’s 1st birthday party to be airplanes. So, once he turned 8 months old the planning began. After finding Anders-Ruff on Etsy and emailing back and forth with Maureen, I knew my vision was going to come to fruition.
And that it did….
The invitation a boarding pass for a fun flight on-board Brady Airways announced the theme. The invitation included Brady’s “Birthday Licenses to Fly”, a magnet, for keepsake. Each envelope was sealed with Brady Airways Headquarters return address label.

Our neighborhood clubhouse was turned into “Rice Hope International Airport” for the event. Red, white and light blue balloons directed guests to the airport. A Rice Hope International Airport banner displayed above the entrance set the scene.
Once inside guests (children) checked-in and received their passports which were stamped “Certifiably Cute” and were given Round the World stickers.
Baggage Claim held gift bags with personalized luggage tags, each contained travel stickers, a compass, rubber band airplane model kit, Fast- Fact book of the 50 states, World Landmark flash cards and an inflatable globe.
Above the Baggage Claim hung a Thank You for Flying Brady Airways banner flanked by 747 airplane balloons.
All guests were encouraged to help themselves at the Food Court, where sandwiches and chips were served.
Tables were set with light blue table clothes, red placemats, light blue napkins wrapped around red silverware held together with a Brady Airways sticker. Centerpieces were adorable clouds with a red biplane attached which my talented husband made. We attached 12 balloons to each centerpiece.
After lunch and gifts were opened it was time for cake! The dessert table was decorated with 2 tier cloud cupcake stands (also made by my husband) cupcake toppers said Happy Birthday Brady circled around a 1. The cake sat a top blue luggage in the middle of the table. Airplane cookies were arranged inside of coordinating luggage. We covered cardboard with cloud paper and attached it to the back of the table for the backdrop. Brady enjoyed the top layer of cake while the rest was sliced for guests.
Posters scattered around the room displayed photos of Brady labeled with the Brady Airways logo.
Thank you postcards were sent to each guest.
The event was more than we could of hope for and I owe most of it to Anders Ruff for their amazing printable designs and creativity. I can’t wait to start planning his 2nd birthday party. Maureen, we will be talking soon!

Love the party, could you tell me how did you do the blue cloud paper for the dessert backdrop? Do you purchase this or have it printed and estimated cost.. I been looking for my hot air balloon party. thanks!
Hi! The cloud paper was actually a roll of paper that was purchased from Amazon. You should be able to find it through there still. If not, feel free to contact me at heidi@andersruff.com and I’ll help you track some down!
Would you mind telling me how you got the cloud butcher paper on the backdrop stand?
