Ruff Draft: Popcorn Bar with Craft Paper Accents

Rustic popcorn bar with craft paper

Today I’m excited to show you a birthday Popcorn Bar Printable Collection I created last week for my dear friend, Casey’s birthday.  I don’t know about you, but all my girlfriends are on diets right now – none of us have given up wine but we are watching our calories in other ways!!!   I wanted to create an elegant, yet simple appetizer spread and still cut back on calories for this Girls Night Birthday Celebration.  I’ve always wanted to make gourmet popcorn and have never really had a reason… but this was just perfect for my Girls Night Birthday Celebration.  Low calorie, inexpensive yet sophisticated and sooo fun!

I also wanted a rustic feel, so I lined the table with craft paper, and then cut 8.5″ x 11″ sheets to print the printable graphic designs on through my printer.  So easy, and gives that rustic look in two seconds.  I displayed a slate tray and used chalk to indicate some of my smaller seasonings & oils.  I drew on the craft paper table runner for my wine placement of: red, white, sweet & bubbly for a lighthearted effect.  This collection would look great printed on watercolor art paper or art recycled textured paper as well if you want the paper to be white instead.

Gourmet spices for a popcorn bar

Some of my favorite Popcorn Bar combos:
1. Warm butter, a splash of truffle oil, bacon bits, fresh cut rosemary, generous amount of sea salt & crushed red pepper.  This creates the most interesting flavor – it’s seriously good!

2. Warm butter, cinnoman/sugar, chocolate shavings, crushed red pepper  – sweet and spicy… to die for!

3. Warm butter, a splash of olive oil, bacon bits, parmesan cheese, generous amoung of sea salt & crushed red pepper.  This is total comfort popcorn!
