Ruff Draft: How to make Pumpkin Pie Favor Box

So… Hostess with the Mostess just featured our Gobble Gobble Thanksgiving Printable Collection yesterday, and we wanted to show you how to make the pumpkin pie favor boxes.

We think they are just too sweet, and wanted to make certain you know how to make these little pumpkin pie favor boxes from scratch. 🙂

Supplies needed:

1. Gobble Gobble Thanksgiving Printable Collection

2. Photopaper or cardstock

3. Scissors

4. Tape or glue

5. (5) cut 2 3/4″ x 2″ rectangles – brown craft paper or tissue paper, for pie crust

6. White tissue paper (a small piece to make a puff of whip cream)

7. Tan or white shred to line the box

This is so easy to make….

First print your pumpkin pie template and cut out along shape.

Next fold the edges along each line.

Now you need to tape or glue the sides together….

(I used double-sided tape)

Once the pie box is glued or taped shut, then take your 5 pre-cut pieces of brown craft paper (2 3/4″ x 2″) and tape bottom edged together.

scallop edge

Tape or glue the “crust” onto the back of the pumpkin pie box, and fold the crust slightly away from the box.  (we use 5 layers of paper, to give the crust some thickness)

Last – take white tissue paper, and cut a small scalloped circle, fold it a little and glue onto top of box for whip cream effect.

Don’t forget to add some shred for the final touch!
